I suspected it was an idiot tech or they simply chose not to identify it. I went for a drive with a guy from the service department and even though the noise was very minimal on the short drive he claimed that he couldn't hear it.
I have a bit over 35,000km on my Tacoma and since about 29,000 I have heard an intermittent chirping sound. I've taken it to the dealer twice and they said they couldn't find anything wrong nor could they hear anything. There are times when this sound is very quiet and occasionally it is...
My understanding is that even if you don't pay for the app they still collect your telematics. I asked about this at the dealership where I got my Tacoma.

I've noticed a clunk as well, but only if the car is moving. I've resolved to only go in and out of 4H with the car stationary. I'm not surprised if there is a clunk since switching from 2H to 4H means changing the drive train configuration.

The thing I've noticed about my Tacoma is that it doesn't have features which 5 years ago other cars did. The most annoying thing for me is the fact that I can't use keyless entry to open the tailgate. My little old Honda lets me unlock the trunk just like the doors... keyless.
11.8L/100km at the moment. It was a bit less earlier this year but my driving habits have changed a bit. I also put it in sport mode every single time.
