  1. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

I put the Trailhunter grill on my TRD OR.. still working on getting the bar to work since I'm trying to avoid using the AUX switches, I purchased the TRD Light Bar button from a Tundra and waiting for a few more components to arrive before finishing it up. Paired with a 18" dual color bar...
  2. Did Yotaverse Bite The Dust?

I haven't installed it yet, but I printed out a bracket to flip the camera (found on this forum). I am fabricating a mount for my light bar since I opted to go with this light bar.
  3. Did Yotaverse Bite The Dust?

Well it was the weekend, but if they're powered by AWS they may have taken a hit with that outage. I bought my TRD TH grill from a local Toyota dealership for less than $300 and it came with the letters.
  4. Big Bend Ranch State Park (TX) trip

My wife and I spent the weekend at Big Bend Ranch State Park (next to the National Park). With about 150 lbs of camping equipment in the bed and roof we hit the trails heading to our campsite, Pila De Los Muchachos. I am by no means an experienced off roader (maybe my 6th time) but this truck...
  5. 285/75R17 tires on stock off-road trd wheels

Yes, now 29k on them and I love em. I don’t have a lift or spacers, 100% OEM suspension except I do have the icon top hat things
  6. Aspire V2 Fang light as DRL ONLY

You can turn off the DRL. I can't remember if it's dash settings or the radio settings but one of those two gives you the option of turning off DRL.
  7. 285/75R17 tires on stock off-road trd wheels

I am; no regrets. I have no problem with the OEM wheels. I don't do any difficult trails, just mostly dirt and small rocks. Stock TRD OR suspension and the oem side steps have a bit of damage from a few scrape in the dirt but they aren't sliders.. and probably would bend if scraped along a rock.
  8. Post your Starlink mini mounting setup!

$100 is ridiculous for this. I ended making my own in Fusion and 3D printed them in ABS; waiting for some hardware to arrive from McMaster but I'll test it out on my next camping trip in a few weeks. Even if these are printed in nylon $100 is ripping people off.
  9. iOS 26 Carplay - your favorite features?

I like that navigation apps have a larger viewing area now, but I wish that Apple (or Toyota) would fix stabilities. It was going great for a few months but now all of a sudden it randomly disconnects almost exactly at 5 minutes after starting.
  10. Post your Starlink mini mounting setup!

I didn't want mine mounted permanently (yet) so I just use the Starlink bar mount. Eventually I'll fab something up to make the SL flush with the roof rack but I haven't gotten that far yet. How are you all routing your cables inside, through the door or some other way? (post pics)
  11. Padre Island National Seashore

I haven't done it yet (probably later this year or next year) but you should do the entire 60 mile drive (it's 120 round trip so top off or bring gas). I did the trip once in a '08 Honda Ridgeline and with the exception of me gunning it which overheated the transmission it handled it quite well.
  12. Merus Adventure Park September 6th 2025

Can't wait to go back, maybe next year
  13. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

TBH last time I drove in Utah I had 200 gallons of diesel and it was about 15 years ago. Anyways to answer your question it starts here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8X6gEwP9LBfxZjr9A Ends here. 130 miles round trip on sand. https://maps.app.goo.gl/4NjbHBreYLQSUbj87 They allow camping wherever...
  14. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

When I go on long trips I carry 2 2 gallon rotopax mounted to molle panels in my bed.. I've done the full 120 mile round trip at Padre Island National Shore on a tank of gas (with plenty left over) and did a full day at Merus and Amarillo on a quarter tank of gas.. unless you're absolutely...
  15. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

I'm not trying to argue with you, but I do believe you've identified your problem. You are driving a brick at 75+ mph... and assuming at some point in time you'll encounter a headwind, your truck is going to experience additional wind resistance. You're not driving in a vacuum, trucks (and...
  16. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

https://cleantechnica.com/2024/03/21/drivers-are-confused-by-unrealistic-epa-range-figures/#:~:text=The%20maximum%20speed%20for%20the,test%2C%20but%20not%20heavy%20traffic. The maximum speed for the EPA highway test is just under 60 MPH, while the average speed is only 48.3 MPH.
  17. Merus Adventure Park Offroad Trails Outside Amarillo Texas

I stuck to greens. There were a few blues I could have done but they looked too rocky for my comfort level.. physical comfort not skill. 285/75-17 BFG All Terrain KO3's.
  18. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

Slow down. With a tail wind I was able to do 350 miles on a tank by doing 63 mph.. hit over 24 mpg and I have bigger tires, a roof rack and a roam case that all added drag. Coming back the other way I averaged about 18 mpg.
  19. Any Build Regrets On Your Tacoma?

It was your post that actually convinced me to not go with diamond plate. I too have the stance but mine is the flat surface.. and while it's close after a few off roading trips I have no rubbing.
