I get about 320 miles now out of a tank with about 60 miles of driving daily on my commute, plus more if I have to travel for work. 320 miles is actually quite reasonable.. sitting for long periods of time isn't healthy. Use your shorter range as a reason to get out, stretch your legs, take a...
I have these but haven't installed yet (this weekend they'll be going on). This goes on top of the frame that the strut bolts on to, so there is no change in height.
You mean 15 amp, not 15v. The 15amp is the black wire on the pigtail. Toyota broke the norm and so for only the pigtails sake, the black wire is the 15amp positive lead, the black/white wire is the negative lead.

You're only going up 4.6% in size and I don't know about weight, but with our 8 speeds and lots of low end torque, there's no need to regear. I went up to a 285/70-17 and didn't feel any power loss. People have gone up to 35's and higher without...
On my TRD OR I get about 21mpg on my 30 mile all highway commute.. but I also drive at 65mph. 33" tires and a roof rack will kill your mpg. Wind also plays a big factor--during spring months when it was windy I would easily see a 4-5 mpg decrease with a headwind, and maybe a 1 or 2 mpg...
I ran into the same issue and even sent them an email about it but they never responded or even acknowledged it. The simple fix would have been to include longer bolts for the rear; but I ended up getting enough weight on the rear of the rack to push it down just enough to where I could thread...
285-70/17's.. and not really. Maybe a spacer lift but I don't plan on properly lifting it until the stock struts go bad. I don't off road but maybe once every few months; stock suspension works fine for me and gives me plenty of clearance.
I have the factory aux prewire, but in my previous truck I ran it through the gromet and harness on the driver side door since it fed to the engine bay instead of via a firewall penetration; as far as running it up, I ran my wires from the engine bay up the passenger side A-pillar on the outside...
I have the CaliRaised bracket with Morimoto 2Banger's and they don't really impede the view. Obviously, the bigger the pod you have, the more it'll block your view.. but that's dependent on the pod, not so much the bracket.
I don't have previous experience with BFG's, my last truck tires had Continental TerrainContacts. So far from what I've read about KO2's issue in rain, I don't think KO3's have that issue. We do have a lot of torque and it doesn't take much to lose grip but traction control comes on real fast...
I took my truck off roading last weekend.. lots of Jeeps, 3rd Gen Taco's and a few 4 runners showed up. I was getting waves and stopped w/ people wanting to check out my 4th gen. They all loved what they could see. From a reliability standpoint, all new vehicles go through their own...

My wife and I went up to Marble Falls to enjoy some trails as there aren't many around Central Texas and we had a blast. I'm not interested in rock climbing, I'm okay doing just the trails and the Taco tackled it without breaking a sweat.
Tires are taller than stock, it'll probably give you a true .5" lift (true because you're also lifting the axle where suspension lifts don't do that)... so yes, it will slightly increase your approach, breakover and departure angles.
I was mostly referring to public land with some trails; first on my list this fall is Palo Duro and Caprock... but next weekend my wife and I are planning on heading up to Hidden Falls Adventure Park for the weekend
Yup. That's Texas for you. And if it were me, I'd take an extra few days and do some trails in AZ and NM because once you hit Texas.. there ain't shit =(
