Check the local law. Here we can return a vehicle within a certain time frame. 3 weeks or 30 days I think. I for sure would be getting my money back if it was here.
I like Wave Maker, although as mentioned it feels more at home in a tropical place.
I can see where the white/grey/silver/black masses may find it upsetting.
Great write up and after driving an Off Road base for 15 months now, pretty much agree with your assessment. I average 18-19 mpg in city driving.
One thing not mentioned is the 6ā bed as I use mine as an all round truck and the extra foot in bed space is worlds above the 5ā bed. The Pro I...
Iām not a 3rd gen fan, so if you are you may find this triggering. When I first test drove a 4th gen I knew it would be selling like this.
As bad as the 3rd gen was with its squashed cab, seating position, gas sucking engine and transmission that was always hunting for the right gear, the new...
Only sticker on mine is the Canadian maple leaf. And itās in orange to match the truck.
My little niece got me a couple stickers from places she went in summer I may put on just for her, but undecided.
Itās not bad enough for me to take it off if it was pavement only truck. For any off roading Iād remove it.
I get 19.2 mpg (US gallon) in city driving in my truck consistently. I use 12.25L per 100km. Mine is an Off Road trim.
If in 2027 I upgrade to a Sport Premium as itās the only way to...
Yes, that would be awesome. The bed size kept me out of a manual transmission but I have to say Iāve been totally happy with the automatic. I havenāt towed with it due to no trailer brake, but it seems it would do well.
I plan on getting a new truck in 2027, trading in my then 3 year old...
The kicker is how Toyota treats its loyal Canadian customers. We place no duties on them, or try to force production in to our country,
Yet the colour pallet is very limited to trims. We should be able to choose more colours in lower trims like other regions.
Yes OEM tires are cheap and meant to look good and get you off the lot. However, 12,000 miles is low even for them. My only other ābrand newā truck, a 2012 Ram 1500 had Goodyear Wranglers that I put 30,000 miles on and were probably good to be changed by 35,000 miles.
My Volkswagens had...
Warranty as far as Iām concerned. Tail lights do not pop off on 4wd trucks when Iām off road. Although until now Iāve only had experience with Dodge and GM trucks.
My door panels have scratched super easily and inexplicably in places where I donāt even touch them! I had the driverās side replaced under warranty but now I just gave up as the scratches just reappeared.
Overall I am happy with my truck, but wish Iād had a chance to experience the legendary...
My favourite Dakota is the 98-99 quad cab 4x4 with the ever reliable 5.2 litre engine in it. Rare find as in 2000 they went to the 4.7 motor which is junk.
These trucks are very rare to find with low miles and in good condition but Iād own today.
I hear you, that was pre Mercedes design and tech. Before head management sold out.
I too miss driving my ā98 K1500 Silverado with a bush bar on it. Other traffic treated me with respect, no cut offs, they all signaled etc. lol. Funny how other driverās skills improve with an old pick up in...
Chrysler Dodge had a chance in the 90ās as they were successful and making good inroads in quality. Top brass got greedy and sold out an American institution for personal gain. Mercedes not known for quality electronics and it got worse from there.
Just a couple general thoughts:
Love/hate feelings on Dakota as they stared the mid size market. But it also started the end of the āsmallā pickup. I miss small trucks.
If no 6ā bed option, itās a non starter.
Ram does not have a good rep on diesels, except the HD Cummins.
Donāt like the...
Impressive, youāve had a Tacoma for 42 years since theyāve been around for 30 years.
I agree with you, I like my Tacoma and drive and enjoy it everyday. For my experience, Iām happy with the almost 19 mpg in City driving that I get. I love the 6ā bed no other mid size truck has - hauled...
@307Taco I was about to point out the same thing. Total click bait which voids the resulting video premise. It was one warranty replaced transmission. Nothing to see here folks.
Disappointed in TFL they resort to click bait tactics, I thought they were better than that. I guess they like...
