Been meaning to jump in here...
Tires are EXTREMELY subjective. So many factors affect how a tire performs and it's rarely apples to apples between different people and reviewers. A tire that is perfect for one person will suck for another person, even on the same truck.
Truck type and weight...
This is 100% accurate.
A new truck needs a while to break in, especially the suspension. My TRD OR suspension felt bad for the first couple months but also bedded in and the bushings loosened up. The OEM parts are meant to last 80-100k miles so they need time to loosen up and work correctly...
Do the lights all turn on if you move the switch to the "ON" position?
Did your lights ever turn on with the doors opening?
What exactly have you done for DIY wiring? What wiring on the truck did you touch?
Both brands are good. I've been a Method fanboy for a long time, and have ran a few sets of their wheels.
You'll see more Method wheels out and about, if that's a thing you care about.
If the truck you want is available now, get it now. Toyota historically waits 4-5yr for any mid-cycle changes anyway so I imagine 27s will not have any significant changes. My guess is 2028 at the earliest, and most likely 2029.
If you get caught up in the "wait for the next update" mindset...
The lack of driver's side handle has been an issue for the last two generations of truck, and some people feel they need it.
The passenger handle is functional, but you have to use your left hand.
35mm offset is great.....
On regular model Tacos, with tires less than ~33" OD and less than ~285mm wide. (My non-scientific approximation) ["Regular models" = non TRDPRO or Trailhunter]
Trailhunter OEM wheels are 18x8.5 +20mm offset. That's what provides the extra track width. Going narrower...
That's a newer tire, and I'd guess that 90% of the owners have them as the OEM tires on their 6th Gen Bronco. They don't have a great reputation but that might be caused by OEM tire owner biases.
Cons:
It's a budget tire.
It's not 3PMS.
It's a lower end Goodyear so it has the typical weak...
My truck has the same thing on one of the tow hook mounts. The threaded plate was welded onto the core support a little crooked.
Some square bevel washers would correct it, with equivalent thickness flat washers on the opposite hook to space that one out the same amount. I might do that for mine.
@carlimeki have you made any changes to the plastic color, to better match the OEM piece?
And has your product been tested for airbag deployment?
As seen in another users pics, the color does not match their OEM a-pillar cover:
I think you can reach up from underneath, and you can also see some it from the engine bay.
It might also be an issue where the rattle doesn't exist when cold, but does once the exhaust warms up and parts expand from heat. Which will suck to poke around with your hand because the downpipe and...
This thread should get merged with the other Grab Handle thread that the vendor posted.
I highly doubt this has even been tested with the airbag that it covers. I read that the plastic is completely different on these new aftermarket pillar covers... less flexible than the OEM part. That's a...
Huh, I guess I'm wrong. Maybe I was thinking of trucks more than cars... It's been a long time since I've done anything on non-4wd vehicles.
I've also ran zero toe on my modded trucks and cars in the past. But in recent years I've stuck with very slight toe-in. More like 1/8" toe-in per side at...
EDIT: Apparently my brain went to trucks, and some cars are zero toe.
Most shops hadn't updated their alignment computers for the new specs for the 4th Gen. And most chain alignment shops flat out suck... I can do better in my shop by hand.
But the numbers have always been available in the...
