yes and no, once it’s warmed up it shifts perfectly smooth now, when it’s cold I still get some odd shifts but overall yes it’s shifting much better

Wish we lived closer to each other I’d be willing to meet up with some folks who are having these issues and compare our trucks

You outta take your truck to the dealership and have it looked at and documented, the more people that complain the faster a fix might come. Who knows maybe it’s something entirely different and they can fix it. Call Toyota corporate as well and voice your concern, we’re all in it together and...

I’m just waiting for the day Toyota tells us wtf is going on with these new transmissions. Some trucks can’t shift perfect and others like crap and then tell us it’s all normal…. Something is clearly wrong here

It’s without a doubt not normal for a brand new vehicle to be doing this and it’s without a doubt a problem and definitely something with the transmission causing it. Does it mean the trans will fail well who knows but either way it’s completely unacceptable

Yeah makes more sense. They will maybe come out with a list of symptoms that lead up to the failure. I think us members already gathered a good data list on that though now we wait to see if Toyota agrees or acknowledges it

Here’s my take on it the more I think about it. I think what they are doing is replacing the entire trans and converter because they want these bad units back assembled so they can pin point the exact cause of failure and if all are failing the same way. Agreed, I truly believe they are well aware and will eventually do the right thing by us, like they always have. I’m not drastically concerned after really thinking everything through, something as important as the transmission there’s no way they are gonna let this con keep going

Yeah I guess anything is possible, so I guess I’ll be forced to purchase the extended warranty because there’s no way I’m gambling with that. In the meantime let’s just hope Toyota comes clean and tells us what in the hell is going on
