Sounds exactly the same scenario im in. I’m right in the sweet spot of complete failure at my mileage and all the signs are there. Hard engagement into drive, reverse, clunks, hard shifts. Question for you though. Did yours do a vibration or shudder right before the truck comes to a stop...
Dealer isn’t obligated too but Toyota corporate might help you out. Give them a call. What was your truck doing to make you realize it was failing? Can you describe in detail to help the group? Check engine light, rough shifts etc? Mines on its way out too and I’m at 1800 miles
Yeah just see how it goes maybe the vibration is a separate issue, we’re all in the dark until Toyota starts talking . Really curious what the dealer and Toyota are gonna do for me
You almost wonder how many Toyota ass kissers won’t admit to issues there having because they don’t want to talk bad about the truck. I’m a huge Toyota fan and always will be and swear by their products but when they mess up I’m calling them out on it. They will make it right eventually but I’m...
Mines an sr5 with coil springs. It’s deff the transmission because it’s the same shudder/vibration when accelerating sometimes. One time it was so bad the entire started shaking scary actually.
What I’m hoping is they feel it a little bit and drop the trans pan and find debris, that should be enough to get it replaced. On top of that I would think Toyota would want my transmission back for them to tear it down especially because there is no codes yet
Yeah there’s a few around me. I’m not taking it to the dealer I bought it from, those people act like you’re bothering them if you bring it in for a concern. I should just make an appointment at the dealer by my work suck it up and bring it in
Answer me this please. When you’re driving through a parking lot slowly and making some turns or just going straight there is zero “back and forth” bucking or jerking?
