Yup and I’m hoping they come out with an updated bulletin on the matter to clear the air. The fact that pro models and trail hunter models have failed as well is concerning because they aren’t even listed on the tsb sheet.
That’s the one thing about that tsb Toyota put out that pissed me off, they gave zero info on what issues customers might expierence in relation with the dtc codes that get stored in the computer.
The oil is made by Exxon/mobil. It’s not anything close to Mobil 1 chemically. The Toyota oil is made to a much higher standard specifically for Toyota.
Was this a first oil change at 10k miles? Toyota genuine oil is really good stuff. Look at that amount of Molly, Dam… more then amsoil signature series over double actually
This is getting old hearing this stuff thinking I’m next or someone else….common Toyota replace the Dam transmissions on all the truck that fall into that category…. Completely unfair to us loyal customers. We expect better when buying Toyota
Pitiful… I’m a collision repair tech and I’m super ocd about returning vehicles back to preloss condition. Techs that leave bolts and clips out are just lazy bum hacks that should find a new career.
I think be because the new tacoma has an oil and trans temp gauge people are able to actually see the temps and it’s alarming but completely normal. Prior tacos had no such gauge therefore without a warning light on it was no concern. Just my 2cents
