It seems the majority have reported some rough shifts here and there. All that describe it sounds very similar to my truck. Once it’s warmed up completely it’s much smoother.

I keep my truck in mint condition, it will never see dirt roads, or be used as a truck. I just enjoy driving a tacoma. Washed, waxed weekly sometimes multiple times a week and the interior is wiped down daily. Super ocd.

That’s the truth better off holding onto vehicles these days, just maintain the heck out of em and they will last

Actually I think the sr5 xcab only comes with leaf springs. I just think the engine is detuned and no oil cooler is the only difference

How many of you guys plan on keeping your 2024 Tacoma for the long haul? Anyone buying the 24s and plan on trading them in when the refresh model comes out in few years? Just curious what everyone’s plans are. I plan on keeping mine for 20 plus years

Sr5 has an engine oil cooler, rear coil spring suspension. The sr only has leaf springs

Glad yours is fixed but for the rest of us we’re driving with this in the back of our minds. It’s time Toyota tell us who’s affected by this and fix it before more people are left stranded. Especially for those of us who bought early model months before they figured out the issue. Example mine...

So I just got off the phone with Toyota corporate and filed a concern that we customers are looking for answers. I urge you to do the same. The more of us that call the faster they’ll have to take action

Exactly that’s what I’m going to do, who knows could just be a break in thing or go away, my trans shifts good so far. If it’s still doing it at 5k miles I’ll mention it to the dealer.
