The 265/70r18 Wildpeaks I put on are sl’s and weigh ~50 lbs and I can absolutely feel the weight, especially starting from a stop. They arent bad, and should be great on fire roads and gravel roads in the mountains, but they are noticeable around town.
I dont think it was a bad choice, but if...
I just went through this. I decided to pick up a set of 18” trd offroad wheels and go with 265/70r18 Wildpeak AT4w’s because I didnt think I wanted a 285 wide tire. They are pretty beefy in the 265 width.
In hindsight I wish I would have stayed with my stock TRD OR wheels and gone with a...
I am actually trying the opposite direction. I have TRD OR and picked up some take off 18” wheels (same TRD OR style) to go with a 265/70r18. I wanted a 33” tire but didnt want to go to a wider 285/70r17. Lots of choices in the 265/70r18 size. I will probably go with Falken at4w’s in sl.
Do you happen to know what your starting heights were? I also have an Offroad Premium (long bed) still stock and my factory measurements are Front- 21.25" Rear- 23.25". I was considering the Alldogs springs for the front, but it sounds like they may not do much for me.
I didn't really want...
That is helpful, thank you.
Did you go with the 0 or 440# rear springs?
Did you change uca’s, or stick with stock?
Are you still enjoying the ride? Any off road testing yet?
That makes perfect sense. I like the idea of the mt64, but for my current needs it is overkill, and I only plan to run 33’s so it is a little tall, eibach seems to review as an upgrade over the stock bilsteins but you make an interesting point. I just havent seen any other reviewer or vendor...
Looks great! I am currently going through the tire selection dilema (also planning to stay SL in 285’s for the same reasons) and that is very helpful. I was leaning Toyo AT3’s, mostly due to weight, and considering Nitto Terra grappler g3’s or maybe Recon Grapplers.
Did you add any sort of lift...
I know this is a bit of an older thread, but is there also a spot to mount them for the rear doors? Looking at sliders for my TRDOR long bed and these oem sliders and steps look great. Thanks!
