Your issue sounds a lot like the infamous needle bearing vibration:
My truck also does this and it's most noticeable around 35mph and coasting. Once back on the throttle it goes away.
Maybe 10 minutes per side with a cordless impact. If I remember correctly, two of the mounting brackets are slotted so you can leave two bolts in the truck body and "hang" the running boards off those two bolts. Then you just put in all the other bolts and tighten everything up. I did it in my...
My TRD OR came with those same steps installed. When I removed them and sold them to another member, we discovered that his TRD OR already had the bolts installed in the holes in the truck and he didn't need my bolts. Have you checked the mounting points on your truck? Those steps don't mount to...
These are the slimmest rock slider steps I've found: https://nytop.com/shop-product/2024-current-toyota-tacoma-rock-sliders?srsltid=AfmBOorstE-IApc45B8NOmaOSzGJJy3NBU2LNhllkKqNdMX2OmaiOQYk
I used this 3D printable version on my truck and it worked great.

Baja Designs has a 2-into-1 adapter harness for their fog light kit. Maybe contact them and see if they'll sell you the adapter separately? https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/toyota-s2-sae-oem-fog-light-replacement-kit-toyota-2024-on-tacoma/?vid=171627&sku=448239
Thanks! I'm very happy with the 285/70R17 SL's. I've always run LT tires on previous trucks, so this is my first set of SL's and I'm glad I went with them. The ride is a little smoother and I'm sure the fuel economy took less of a hit. Keep in mind the Falkens run heavy regardless of being SL...
What size are you planning to get? If you're planning to stay with 285/70R17 then it looks like those Bridgestones only come in an E-load range which will be heavier than your current AT4W's. I think the extra weight would decrease fuel economy.
A set of rear Perry Parts rear bump stops (regular length) for 4th gen Tacomas. Comes with all mounting hardware and frame plates. These are a little longer than OEM and engage sooner. I ran them for about 2 weeks but didn't like the earlier engagement on a stock height and stock weight truck...
Ok, after reading the install instructions it doesn't seem all that bad. Probably not any worse than anything else I've already done. I'll send you a DM
When I was more involved on the F150 forums, it seemed pretty common for people to only swap out the rear shocks for something like the Bilstein 5100's to improve load handling and towing. Personally, I would probably swap all four shocks to have more balanced handling but you could do the rears...
FYI, the gate at the top for the last stretch to the fire lookout opens at 8am. I didn't know that but luckily I got there at 8:15am so they had just opened up.
Nice view! I took my Tacoma to the Sun Top fire lookout (opposite side of the mountain) last month, but didn't get any pictures with my truck and the mountain.
I have the 14" screen and I've been playing with the "Smart Display Zoom" setting. With it on, the map gets much larger but the icons get tiny. I like the map size, but the small icons are kind of hard for me to easily find while driving. I turned off the display zoom and the icons get much...
