Just got my 74Weld upper control arms for my 2025 TRD Pro, and I wanted to share some first impressions before getting them installed.
Right away, the first thing I noticed is how incredibly well made they look. The machining, finish, and overall attention to detail are obvious immediately...
Came off a 2025 TRD Pro Tacoma, will fit double cab short bed models. Bolts to the body & tucks up real tight to prevent rock damage along the rocker panels.

While upgrading the turbo, I upgraded my intercooler. This isnāt one of those sexy IG mods, itās one thatās about real performance. I upgraded my intercooler to a @Mishimoto one. Objectively itās by the far the best option on the market when you look at the size, functionality, and ability.
After two full days of pulling the turbo, swapping hoses, clamps, and gaskets, and reinstalling everything, I finally narrowed the issue down to a coolant return hose from the turbo. It wasnāt directly connected to the turbo itself, but it runs very close to it.
That hose shouldnāt have been...
Itās been awhile, but here we are š
Upgraded turbo is officially in.
I had it installed yesterday, hit the road, and noticed a coolant leak on the way home.
Said fuck it when I got home and pulled it back out myself.
Got it out and replaced all the gaskets, reinstalled it. Took a test...

The unit that is linked here is the one you will need. You get refunded your core charge when you send your OEM turbo in. The shipping was insanely fast, and the unit came very well protected.
You will also need a tune from OTT (@JustDSM) to pair with the upgrade.
I can. I don't foresee it being something crazy loud as long as you keep your normal intakes. I will be doing an upgraded downpipe as well which is needed so your experience may vary.
I also have the TRD exhaust so it might be a little different depending on your vehicle type.
What you said is partially correct.
OTT has Cobb AP's and you purchase them directly from a local retailer like myself or through OTT directly (same price from both of us) and you will receive the device with a base map on it. You can also opt to pay a little bit more for a stage 1 OTT tune...
Whatās going on everyone!
I wanted to share some details and first impressions on an upgraded replacement OEM turbo from turbokits.com that Iām installing on my 4th gen Tacoma as part of prepping for a Stage 3 tune from OTT.
