The sooner people realize “they” are the product, and what they own is marketing “them” to big business, the less surprising stuff like this will be.
Have you turned off “Auto A/C” in the infotainment screen menus? If you haven’t, I’ll check mine, because I can’t remember where it is exactly.
On my Sport at least, Toyota decided to put plugs in the weep holes along the bottom of the door. Pulling one or more should let the water drain, and you can decide to put them back or not. Look for a black rubber rectangle.
I read the thread title and thought “oh, just the DI on acceleration.”
Nope. No sir, not normal. Let someone higher paid than some forum-goers diagnose that.
The “non-amplified” moniker in the non JBL system is a misnomer. The amplifier for either system is under the drivers seat. What you have is a line-driver. Sure, it has minimal EQ functionality, but it’s still a line-driver. My question is, if you know how a LD works, how much leeway do you...
Yeah. But as long as the item meets the specifications it’s designed for, run it. It’s when stuff promises one thing, but is proven detrimental, that pisses me off.
I’ve never really gotten the “oil thread” comments. I’m not going to dissuade you from using what you’d like, changing it when you’d like or using the filter you’d like. As long as it’s not extra virgin olive oil, run what ya brung! ALMOST every oil in the parts store meets the ILSAC-6A...
This is referred to as an “Infinite Baffle” or IB sub. The benefit of this design is there isn’t a need for an actual enclosure, as it uses the space behind the sub as a larger box, theoretically allowing for more extension. In THIS use-case is it everything everyone hoped and dreamed for...
:slow clap: correct, I’m not sure why. One thing I am sure of though, I’m learning to figure it out. I don’t like to throw shade at anyone, especially on the internet, because things can most definitely be taken out of context. However, I don’t step into a forum and say “The” anything thread...
Magnuson-Moss act. The dealership would have to PROVE that what you installed is the cause of whatever problem you’re having.
If you install a camera, and your headlights stop working, for example, they need to draw a line from the headlights to your dashcam.
If you have the plug above the...
@PNWkip looking closer at the manual for your powered sub, I have a question.
Where are you grabbing the signal from for the box?
Can you possibly, this is going to be loud, get a test tone, something 40-50Hz at 0db, try kicker.com, and measure th voltage on your inputs at the box at...
I’d probably set the x-over to the x, that’s likely closer to 80Hz. But other than that, your settings look fine. If you’re concerned, maybe try with the boost at minimum.
Agreed, an o-scope would be desirable, but not everyone has access to one short of buying their own for a one-time use...
Interesting. I’m going to have to do more reading on the hybrid in these trucks. I don’t have one, so it’s been down the list of reading material. Thanks for setting me straight.
