  1. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

They just feel way more stable. You can take corners at 30+ and not feel like you’re about to roll it.
  2. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Thx! Drives perfectly. I prefer the feel of these to 255/80 open country E loads and WAY prefer them to the falkens. I think this is a perfect tire for these trucks. Will update as it wears, but very happy with them. Dash is showing 15.2, so probably about 16.2 actual.

link is broken (both the one you wrote and the one you linked)
  4. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Pretty much the same ass size as a 285/75 open country.
  5. Full size spare no longer fits after Track Bar Correction Kit

For anyone else reading: This is ~100% from the track bar relocation. I did the track bar correction first and it solved all of the sway / bump travel. I didn't go with the kings (though I would have if I saw that price...) but instead the dobinsons adjustable ones. I didn't notice much of a...
  6. WHATS THIS THUD SOUND!?

Did you personally torque down your lca bolts after alignment? The torque spec is 205 but alignment shops are used to doing ~110 on 3g tacomas. This made some nasty clunking / creeking for me. Another source for a similar sound for me was adjustable sway bar end links. I have the dobinsons ones...

  9. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Ended up returning these. Got a set of toyo open country 35x12.5r17 in C load and way happier. They actually roll instead of immediately slowing the truck down to a crawl. Definitely not as beefy for off road, but I am loving them.
  10. Bilstein Shocks Defective

No weight, bone stock.. yeah, they ride well. Modify anything in anyway and their inadequacies shine.
  11. Bilstein Shocks Defective

    those shocks are dogshit
  12. Installed: Bilstein 6112 / 6110, Icon UCAs, Dobinson 817 rear springs

I'm so glad I didn't end up doing business with Shock Surplus. I, like presumably everyone else, have watched a ton of their youtube videos so I figured may as well give them some business. I was ready to buy these shocks from them and have them install them. They were going to film it and put...
  13. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Looks like you have the hybrid which would help a lot with moving the weight. I just got the dr kdss trakx bar correct which makes everything work quite a bit better, but I’m quite looking forward to being back in a lighter tire.
  14. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

I previously had a set of the open country in 255/80/17 which is close to what you’re getting, way preferred those to these and would gladly give up the 2” height for the overall characteristic. Hopefully I like the performance of their 35, I’m sure I will. This has taught me how much you feel...
  15. 35x11.5r17 Falken Wildpeaks... WAY too heavy

Recently had a set of 35x11.5r17 wildpeaks mounted.. I was quite excited to go up 2" in size.. but man these tires aren't it on a Tacoma. Way too heavy. You feel every ounce of the 68.5 pounds per corner. I called Falken and initiated a return. Going with a set of open country AT3 in 35x12.5...

  17. Rear Creaking Sounds after installing Alldogs Offroad Rear Springs

Oh, and sorry Really interesting. I was able to swing by my mechanic’s today (a hour ago when I was asking you!) while running some errands. I brought the old springs and some new rear shock mount skids and trailing arm skids. They were able to get all the insulators on, as well as the skids...
  18. Rear Creaking Sounds after installing Alldogs Offroad Rear Springs

I noticed that there are 2-3 other insulators along the springs. Did you replace all of them on the new springs? Or just the top ones?
  19. Rear Creaking Sounds after installing Alldogs Offroad Rear Springs

Thank you. This sound has also been driving me nuts!!
  20. Rear Creaking Sounds after installing Alldogs Offroad Rear Springs

Are these the spring insulators you guys speak of? :wait:
