I wouldn't even bother with the dealer. The angles are essentially the same on the new bumper. Scuff the old paint down, shoot some matte black on the old sensors, and reuse them. They design it to not recognize new sensors as a way to be able to charge an extra $600 dollars for the install...
Just scuff and shoot the old sensors with a few light coats matte black paint to match the bumper. They will work perfectly. I did that after the con-artist dealer tried the same game with me.
Nice. Glad to hear. How was it for you? Seems pretty straightforward looking at the directions. I even gave myself a head start the other night by at least clipping the new harness into the spots on the new bumper and installing the sensor grommets and retainers. But haven't pulled the old...
Nice. Do you notice your sensors still alert when you back up close to stuff, or the mirrors light up when someone is in your blind spot on the highway?
Definitely. Underground or bronze goes good with the bumper. Mines blue but I already tested wrapping the sensors in matte black 3m auto vinyl and they work just fine. Thinking of reinstalling my stock sensors wrapped in matte black and saving the $400+.
Do you find everything works with the...
Wondering some opinions. Got the bumper together and ready to install on truck. I can either install my original sensors into the new bumper with the corner ones wrapped in matte black vinyl to match the bumper (my truck is blue, so would look weird if they were left as is, and I checked to see...
I like how they look and they look durable for sure. I also like the price. One member commented they were concerned there were too many openings/slits in the skid plate that would let too much water or junk up under there into the engine area. Do you find this to be the case?
Hi all!
I'm wondering if any members are running either the Rival 4x4 aluminum skid plate or the Miller Cat MCX stainless steel skid plate. Any reviews, comments, etc?
Those of you that have one of these (or maybe have had both at some time or another!), what do you feel are the advantages of disadvantages. I like both but was looking for some more real world opinions. I don't off-road super hard, but I do go to my camp and travel log roads that are pretty...
