If my dealer and Toyota give me the go around next week for my trucks shifting and other transmission complaints I’m gonna pay for them to drop the transmission pan, I’d guarantee it has metal debris
Yeah but you also have to take into account the thousands upon thousands of people that aren’t on forums or Facebook. No way of telling if those people are having issues, and the fact there’s been enough documented failures you can bet many of those min interested users could be having problems
I’ll be pushing Toyota for a free 10 year 125k mile warranty on mine. 6 trucks i bought from them brand new. I’d rather get the warranty and wait it out for a month or 2 then get a new truck.
Sounds exactly the same scenario im in. I’m right in the sweet spot of complete failure at my mileage and all the signs are there. Hard engagement into drive, reverse, clunks, hard shifts. Question for you though. Did yours do a vibration or shudder right before the truck comes to a stop...
Dealer isn’t obligated too but Toyota corporate might help you out. Give them a call. What was your truck doing to make you realize it was failing? Can you describe in detail to help the group? Check engine light, rough shifts etc? Mines on its way out too and I’m at 1800 miles
