With the weather cooling down I got a couple tires showing low psi. No problem, I’ve got a compressor in the bed! Except when I went to use it nothing happens. It will not turn on. I’ve used it a few times before with no issues.
So I wanted to check for a blown fuse. I checked the fuse box...
This is probably not the Trailhunter pic you’re looking for. But sometimes life’s trail leads you to your daughter’s wedding. I wanted to get this all in one trip. 72 folding chairs, 2 tables, and every remaining nook and cranny stuffed with decorations!
Haha actually I just passed 8,000 in less than 3 months. I drive a lot for work, and after getting the truck I’ve done a lot of personal stuff too. Will probably start to slow down.
No serious issues to speak of. I’ve been watching the transmission very closely given the issues. There’s...
This issue just popped up on my Trailhunter. Probably started at around 7,000 miles. It sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side rear door area. Only does it at very low speeds in either forward or reverse. It kind of sounds like a twig stuck in a brake rotor or something, except it’s...
I sold mine. It definitely makes the Trailhunter recognizable. But I want my truck to be incognito because of the business I’m in. I did have some friends and coworkers that were disappointed that I pulled it off.
Couple things. The 2024+ models do not have a V6 option. Also, Toyota does not allow anyone to order a vehicle. The closest thing we have is when a dealer gets an allocation, if you want that allocation, some dealers will allow you to reserve it. This can mean you will need to do a LOT of...
My work took me to Reno. I snuck away for some late night trail hunting. This was by far the toughest terrain I’ve taken her down. Had my heart pounding a few times. Felt like I needed all the goodies, sway bar disconnect, locker, crawl control, etc. Got a couple pics from the top of the...
Did it on my Trailhunter. I used the front harness, that’s right behind the driver side headlight. It can be hard to find at first, as it’s under some other wiring. I used Aux 3. This isn’t really a write up, but I’m not sure what else there is to say.
Definitely not a “deal”, but I would have gladly bought a plane ticket and flown down to pick this up at this price back when I bought my TH LB in July. Are they still that hard to find?
It’s not a range estimator like the way we think of range estimators. It’s not showing you miles to empty. In truth no cars really work like that, they always hold back a little in reserve. But Toyota goes way over the top with their reserve. The miles shown is showing (roughly) how many...
Of all the problems with the 4th gen, engine failures have not been one of them. Sounds like a freak one-off failure. Especially with it happening so soon. Something did not get built to spec at the engine factory, which I believe is in Japan.
Man, sorry for this mess. Hopefully corporate...
Far as I know, it’s not just a Tacoma thing, every Toyota does this. It’s dumb. But I have to train my brain to think the number displayed is not range, but it’s the miles remaining before Toyota’s ultra conservative “Refuel now” warning appears.
