Iām getting about 12.8 L per 100km consistent in city driving mostly. 85/15 is the city to hwy driving Iād say. A new V8 GMC 1500 would be about 16-17 in this driving. Iām probably saving about 4-5 litres per 100km Iād say.
Iād like for a camera and adapter kit from Dongar to buy with parking mode.
Maybe with an inward facing camera I can use as my rear view camera. That way I donāt have to risk my side airbags getting caught up in the cord to a back up camera.
I love my Solar Octane Off Road 6ā box, soon to be rarer if they do not carry the colour over to 2025.
Wish my work wasnāt in such an industrial area so itās not always dirty and muddy.
My first Toyota, washing it is fun but finding the time to is challenging.
I like Supersonic Red maybe...
Anybody have any luck on a brake controller? I really need one on my truck soon, half the reason I buy a truck. Kind of dumb Toyota makes it so hard to add one. I read people have been searching for the harness, a blue wire etc.
I changed my Off Road to the TRD skid plate. Itās considerably heavier than the stock one I took off. May be a hassle at oil changes when truck is older and I have to do them myself, but thatās years away.
Iāll try to post a pic. Very happy with it.
Geez, so much confusion for a brake controller. Iām thinking I should have just got the higher model to get one. But Iād have to go to a sport instead of an Off Road. Hope this gets sorted soon, I need one on my truck.
I just want one installed with no electrical issues. Makes me miss my...
Just another thing to remember to do, I like to set up my vehicles and drive them not tinker adjusting something every time.
For a truck the normal mode does fine. I do appreciate the different parameters sport brings in but canāt really enjoy them in the city and donāt use sport mode off...
I suggest use actual litres / gallons put in and mileage driven rather than the truckās data. My truck reads empty with about 50km left in the tank.
Off Road 6ā bed with city driving I average 12.71 litres per 100km or 18.5 mpg. I have 3500 miles on the truck. In Normal mode (eco was...
I am close to stated fuel mileage but not quite there yet. Non hybrid OF 6ā box. I get 18.5 mpg in city driving (12.71 L per 100km).
Would be nice to get 20mpg in city, I have 5600 km on truck or 3500 miles.
My truck did something strange today that I havenāt seen/heard before.
Iād been home 5 hours and went into the garage to hear a strange buzzing sound. It definitely sounded like it was coming from the truck, not the engine but near the back of the truck underneath.
Randomly it stopped for a few...
3 months in I love my Off Road. 2 options I wish it had are the softex seats and the trailer brake controller.
Two small complaints:
1 - there is a little flap on the seats that keeps squishing into the plastic frame part. Annoying.
2 - The wireless CarPlay acts up, it may be because I...
Decades ago, Iād put 400 lbs of old concrete curbs and blocks in the truck of my 1980 Dodge Aspen and drive anywhere in the snow. Front wheel drive cars would be stuck and Iād drive by.
Iām sticking to Normal mode. I tried eco for a tank and actually got worse mileage in city driving. I drove in sport for a while but I got tired of putting it in sport mode everytime I start the truck.
Normal is a good balance for power and mileage anyway. TRD Off Road 6ā bed.
I got around to installing mine today, easy and great instructions. One question I have is, the hood has to close pretty hard it seems. Before Iād just drop the hood and the weight would close it.
This is normal I hope. I didnāt do anything else.
Also they lift the hood higher than the prop...
