For those interested, I reached out to ARB concerning the release of their new Zenith metal front bumper (pictured) for my 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter and this was threply:
“Hello Mark, we havent released any product for the aftermarket on the new Tacoma as of yet, however we do have a Zenith...
I actually ordered a bed step for my Trailhunter... Did you HAVE to remove the ARB rear recovery hooks or was there a way to install the bed step and keep the recovery hooks?
Do you change your driving mode to SPORT (or ECO) each time you get into the vehicle? I noticed & then read in the manual that each time I turn off the TH, the TH reverts back to NORMAL mode.
Same, my TH gets about 16.5 mpg in ECO mode & driving the speed limit. I tried regular gas (87) & premium (93) but no change in MPG. I do have a roof
rack & wonder if that’s causing the low MPG? Anyone driving a TH without the roof rack on ECO mode? What’s your mpg?
“did you buy bigger screws or did you just use the ones mountain hatch sent??”
I used the screws they sent but they were much larger screws. There was also a hand written note on my order that actually said “install on top of the OME tailback cover”
If you have smaller screws, ask Mountain...
First, you should leave on the old OME tailgate cover and mount the Mountain Hatch directly on top of it. No gaps and it looks much better! I recently installed mine but the plan is to use it as a flat table to cook on while at the beach and camping.
Granted, it’s not a Tonneau cover, but I went with the Decked drawer system. It does help with wind resistance and has a lot of secure storage space. I like the sport/chase rack & the Decked system seemed like the best option.
It's actually a Sports or Chase Rack... ARB actually makes a really nice bed rack (super expensive) that sits above and covers the entire truck bed. Those are for camping, sleepers, and awnings. Very useful, but not what I need right now.
I had to pay MSRP for my Trailhunter & there were plenty of Florida dealerships charging market adjustments of $2k-$10k. It took a few months but I found a dealership that would sell at MSRP. If you can get a TH for below MSRP, buy it. Also, like someone else said, if you are going to guy a TH...
I actually ordered one from Mountain Hatch... It does take a few months to manufacture and deliver, and I still do not have mine yet (ordered 11/01/24). I'll post a photo once delivered and installed. Just an option...
Those full size mud flaps nice, I would be interested in purchasing them too. I ordered the OEM Toyota mud flaps for my Trailhunter, but they barely covered 3/4 of the wheel so I didn’t purchase them.
I also had PPF installed and it’s great but so expensive! I think those full size mud flaps...
