Not to be a contrarian… but, I pulled the Westcott collars off the front coil-overs because I didn’t care for the stiffer ride and replaced with a spring lift from AllDog’s Offroad. Much better ride overall than a spacer lift. Looks were the same, but the ride comfort was noticeably better. YMMV.
Here you go… Alldogs springs in the front, OE springs with the Westcott collar in the rear, which gives about .75” of lift. The rear ride is fine, the rake is about 1” taller in the rear.
The tires are 285/70-17 on Black Rhino Rivals, +25mm offset.
That looks like a solid option; however, all of those units can be dangerous. I’d be sure to lay a moving blanket across the spring while compressing.
I’ve got a neighbor that does a bunch of Yota work, TORX Off-road - you can find him in the SE forum on the TW forum, and he has a commercial...
I have the All Dogs lift but have only installed the front so far. Truck is 38-1/4” from the floor to bottom of fender. A Westcott preload collar was in the truck before, installed by the prior owner, so not sure what the actual lift would be from stock. I’ve also got 285/70-17 tires. The...
I have had a great service experience at Cherokee County Toyota up in Canton across several Toyotas for the past 15 years. They've got a well stocked parts department, nice waiting room and always offer a good discount on parts. I don’t hesitate to get my truck serviced there.
I bought a non-hybrid OR Premium after having a deal set for a TDR OR hybrid with the upgrade package. I wanted less mechanical complexity and more day to day comfort, which the premium offers. I also wanted the underseat storage. Back to back, I didn’t feel like the hybrid offered much in...
I don’t have any good advice for you other than to empathize. I chased a 70-80mph vibration in my last truck, a Frontier, that drove me crazy because I became super sensitive to ANY vibrations. Anyway, good luck.
Haha, you’re welcome. Sometimes taking a step back and thinking it thru is the answer. Highly unlikely you tore it and that grease could have been on your sleeve, tools, who knows. My bet is you’ll clean it off and never see evidence of it again. If you do, take a deep breath, buy a new...
Before replacing anything or freaking, wipe that area down really well and get all of the grease off the boot. Clean it up good with simple green or other degreaser. Then, keep an eye on it. If it’s torn, you’ll know soon enough and you can install a replacement CV, or just a new boot. It...
Yeah, that looks good for sure… based on my experience driving 30k mile per year in ATL traffic, it won’t take long to get rear ended, so I’ll be sure to have their insurance pay for the same! Nice!
Hard to say because I had a Westcott Designs precollar spacer on the front before, and still have their collar on the rear springs. I’m not sure what the OE floor to fender measurement was previously, but now it’s ~38” from floor to bottom of fender thru the center of the wheel. It has...
Removed from the truck yesterday. The Westcott Designs preload collar lift was on the truck when I bought it a couple weeks ago. In perfect condition, fronts only. This will lift the front of your truck ~2-2.5”. This is the ano black version from Westcott.
