I've not had one of those tops; that said, I've never had an install that looked like that on my other canopies, even after I took'em off and then put them back on myself.
I just give it a second till it hangs down and then finish closing the cover. I know what you mean 'cause it took me a couple times to learn to take a breath before slamming it.
My experience the estimated range changes with the average mpg over several tanks. During a trip from E. OR to Phoenix, AZ area the estimated range went from 298 miles to 350 miles with subsequent fill ups. I hooked onto a trailer and started north on a full tank, near the bottom of that tank my...
I put these on my Gen 3 and now the '24 after my wife had a stroke. She was afraid of slipping on the other running boards, and needed a little help getting into the cab, while still giving me some clearance when in the back country. These provide good footing, even in the winter snow, and are...
Not a lot of help here, but this isn't like the ones on the new Fords is it, where they have seats molded in so ya have a comfortable place to sit while waiting for a wrecker?
Yes, but - the extra weight on the whole top and upper sides of the screen being jostled by the washboard and rough surfaces of rural unpaved roads is my concern. Forty-five miles of gravel road before turning into the back country can shake fillings outta teeth; the shelf would be really handy...
Do a search on this forum. There's an owner from the north OR coast who did it, posted pictures and pretty good step by step instructions on this very topic with the resulting fit and finish.
I wonder what the effects of vibration from rough gravel, dirt roads has on the 14" screen with one of these attachments. Like the idea of more useful storage than current Taco's give, but am concerned that over time they might cause damage.
My mom told me not to say anything if I couldn't say something nice. That Green - the last time I saw that color was when I looked in the mirror the morning after I drank too much Tequila. Sorry.....
Good choice. It took this old retired guy a bit to get used to the new technology and electronics, but once I figured out what worked for me, these are mighty fun rigs. Enjoy!
My other tire shop said the first one only balances the front wheels when mounting tires. If the customer complains, then they balance the rear ones. Not sure I believe them, but the vibration went away.
Vidman almost said it. It kinda depends on what your reason is for wanting different tires. Just looks is one thing, function might be something else. I ran taller 10 plys that I could air up a little more when towing our travel trailer, then air down when off roading, but the factory C's...
Not a camp trailer, but I pulled a 16' ATV type trailer with a 5' solid loading ramp (acted like a sail). I went from 18 mpg (studded winter tires) without the trailer, to 12 mpg on the two lanes and 10 mpg on the freeways.
From my experience, you are right on the suppositions when changing from 4x4 to 2x4. For the clunking when shifting into reverse, I'd let the service department at your dealership know and record the unusual event(s) so there's record of it happening while still under warranty. Then drive it...
