What size are those tires? Because I cannot get my front tires to clear those Canadians at even half lock... they have a weird bulge that hits my tire pretty quick. I am running 285/70/17s.
Your tires are 275/70/18 which is nothing too crazy and roughly a similar size to mine …. 🧐… and my...
I am replacing a rigid light this weekend bc of a warranty issue, and I just have a bad feeling it’s going to be stripped… at least it’s on the driver side. I have a glue gun I could use it it’s slightly stripper and that’ll likely be plenty.
I’m going to purchase these inserts so I can...
I’m assuming the bracket works with the ARB recovery points… You’ll want to call them to confirm. https://sxthelement.com/products/2024-tacoma-bed-step-relocation-bracket?_pos=4&_sid=a217917d7&_ss=r
I just finished installing the Ark mudflaps on my 2024 Trailhunter. Ark now has a part number specific to the Trailhunter and Pro with their wider fender flares.
I replaced my OEM Canadian mudguards for the Ark product primarily to improve coverage and protection from gravel and rocks hitting...
...like them about the same. The catch is that the Ark flaps offer slightly better coverage, which I think is worthwhile. I took some pics to illustrate the difference. I hope they are helpful to someone:
Here are the OEM Canadianmudflaps:
Here are the Ark mudflaps for Trailhunter and...
Canadian here.. these "Canadian" mud guards are not as great as people think, in my opinion. Within 2 weeks of in-town driving, with stock tires and setup, the front-side of my rear fender flares were showing signs of being peppered with rocks.
The ARK flaps are better, and I'm even happier...
Hi,
If you've a link for the relocate bracket, I'd be interested. Between the remaining recovery point and hitch, I'm ok with losing the one recovery point. But I'd certainly like to regain it if possible. That bed step though clearly offsets the loss of '1' recovery point for me though.
As...
Are those the “mud guards” or mud flaps entirely different part no.? My TH came port installed with the mud guards, love them, barely notice they’re on there.
I also have been rocking the bed step / ordered the SXTH element rear recovery hooks with the bed step relocate bracket (so both rear...
I have appreciated the various 'mudflap' discussions. Last week, I received a Canadian set of OEM mudflaps and installed on Riddick, our TH. Very happy with them cosmetically. Stupid-easy installation. And look forward to seeing how they perform.
Separate note, also very happy with the bed...
I've been following this thread for awhile, and it's interesting to see so much variance in rubbing based on trim/alignment even with the same size tires.
I was curious if anyone had more pictures facing towards the wheel wells to clarify clearances based on tire size and trim/alignment. It...
Speaking of Canadianmudflaps; I bought the wrong size for my Pro. Which means I have an extra set of Canadianmudflaps that fits none halo trims for half the cost.
First of all, they look great - can't wait to get mine! And, thanks for the pointer - will definitely check the existing content in the future. Thank you!
The search option up in your top right hand side.
Anytime you're looking for a subject, try that first because there's a good chance whatever you're looking for has already been covered. Sometimes you have to change your keywords for your search.
I had this all typed up and you had not had any...
Did you look at the Canadian version of the OEM mudflaps which are wider than the USA version?
There was some posts on the site about that.
I can't imagine anything wider.
Tacorancher’s PSA inspired me to post one as well. Today I switched out the tiny mudflaps that came on my truck for the Canadian ones. On both fronts, the mudflap had rubbed right through the clear coat and paint. Initially, I thought it was just a line of dirt, but I cleaned it and was able...
i have the same running boards and Canadianmudflaps as you. There's a bit more spay from the aggressive tires and extra width, but not terrible.
I did put ppf on the front portion of the rear fenders shortly after buying the truck, as they take a beating even in stock configuration. (since you...
This is interesting! I had to go out and check that I didn't get scammed and get some US mud flaps ?
I had no idea the Canadianmudflaps were wider, although I have to say, still completely useless without some sort of rails, steps, etc.
Rocks still happily flick up onto the body panel.
I...
Yes, they were prototypes so I could provide measurements. I haven't heard from ARK and I needed mudflaps, so I purchased the Canadianmudflaps they seem to work fine for now and of course they are a perfect fit.
