  1. Bouncy hood (& other interesting info) explained by the Car Care Nut

I like the car care nut - I really do, he’s honest, down to earth, knowledgeable and seems to be a great accurate technician. Let’s be reminded he has a brand new Tundra’s (in the rare Saddleback Leather trim) let’s say one of Toyotas top trim tundras - he can complain about the price, but then...
  2. Dash Camera Series 2.0 - Rear Cam not available on 2024 Tacoma?

Welcome ! That’s great. I have a RX350 as well, bought the same harness for it As well. I managed to find a $80 dash cam that fit right behind the mirror and attached to the front camera cover with two way tape. The whole dash cam cant be seen while sitting in the truck at all - it’s perfect.
  3. Trailhunter oil change without removing skid plate?

As one other mentioned just take the skid plate off, it’ll make for a neater tidier oil change rather than trying to change oil through a small hole and then mop up residue from removing a filter. Trust me I’ve done an oil change in my OR, taking off the skid plate allows for a really clean no...
  4. Muslogy Interior Organization - ‘24 OR Prem

Glad someone else is able to support my issue, I did purchase mine and was successful in getting a refund after making a case that it doesn’t fit, only to be apologized to for not producing and providing me with instructions on how to install it and being told they have many photos of others...
  5. Upgrade Your Blinker Choose Your Perfect DRL Colors with Lasfit T3 LED Bulbs!

I bought the switchbacks for my Tacoma. Now that I have them, I’ve realized that the white colour DRL’s is a preference. I personally think the amber T3 7443 amber bulb would look better, having the the switchback with the white enhances the headlights brightness at night Though. So it’s a more...
  6. Muslogy Interior Organization - ‘24 OR Prem

I received my order, got the organizer for cup holder seats - works great. Also ordered the “organizer” by the shifter and passenger grab handle. Totally disappointed in that it’s not as represented, it should just be called a liner, it’s nothing more. Worse is that as your picture shows, it...
  7. key fob not working

Not sure if this helps - but it’s how most Toyota’s fobs work. Doubt someone is “accidentally” getting it into the battery saver mode.
  8. 2024 Tacoma Fuel Door won’t close

There’s no mechanism for the fuel door. Pull to open / push to close. Only hybrids I think it is gets a “mechanism”. Are you sure you put the fuel cap back on before trying to close the door ?
  9. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

Damn I missed it ? just a few posts above mine - thanks! Knew it must have been somewhere, this thread is so long…. and theres a few transmission posts on the forum.
  10. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

I’m surprised this article from The Drive hasn’t been posted here yet. Not sure what relationship Tim Esterdahl has with the Drive but it seems like some good ol’ back scratching for popularity. Not much use for Tim as he often whines about non issue stuff and contradicts himself in his videos.
  11. Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

    Right right ?
  12. Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

Um you are setting a date on both of us ?
  13. Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

Wow, where you needed a key to unlock it? Thats old school ! ?
  14. Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

My 2011 accord has a resting spot for the gas cap, my Lexus has one and yes my Tacoma has one. Thinking it’s pretty standard now a days.
  15. Fuel door- Hybrid vs. non hybrid

its odd for sure. I know this, the Tacoma has never had a locking fuel door despite the rest of Toyotas lineup having a locking fuel door. The hybrid units are the first in Tacoma's history to get locking fuel doors from what I know.
  16. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

While a totally failed transmission sucks at such a low mileage, I can’t help myself commenting that a $50K truck should not break. It does suck without a doubt. BUT It’s a mass produced machine, and there’s a ratio of units to failures and it’s called an average. Nobody on this forum will know...
  17. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Full Transmission Replacement After 342 Miles

internet is great for some things, attempt to figure out how many transmissions have failed, internet is not a good place. Tim Esterdahl of pickup truck and suv talk is as guilty as the rest of the internet. Ever seen his rant about Ford F150 and its differential rusting? And then his next video...
  18. Muslogy Interior Organization - ‘24 OR Prem

Thanks, this is a great review, I ordered the unit for between the seats and for beside the grand bar/shifter. I thought the same of the photo that the insert would give less depth to that area - but what you are saying is it’s just a liner. That’s disappointing. I’ve yet to receive the...
