Strange. I saw an improvement of about .5 MPG over the RAI. Currently get about 17.4 MPG combined, but I have an extra 1" lift over stock, roof rack and shell, and 34" tires + live in Utah and drive in the mountains regularly.
I did not take any broad before pictures. I asked another member, @SnowmanJPS, on another thread if they could send pictures of their TRD Pro airbox so i could figure it out. Those pictures can be seen in the thread below along with a picture of the inside of the Trailhunter air box...
If you are like me and looking to get rid of the high desert air-intake (snorkel) because of how annoyingly loud it is with windows down, I figured it out. I spend too much time in the mountains or out on desert roads with the windows down and the intake noise made my wife and I roll the...

I stopped by the parts counter today and was able to order everything i needed except the red tear-drop shaped plug? Can you confirm if that red piece in this picture coming out of the side of the airbox is a plug or is it open?
Can anyone that has bought the parts break out what is included with each component? I have the trailhinter airbox that is the same, but uses the port that routes through the high mount intake. This intake from the PRO has that red plug that plugs this port and has the red tube and the intake...
When I picked up my 2nd filter, the parts counter showed me the Toyota filter cleaning kit had been discontinued and told me they just buy the K&N filter cleaning kits. So that's what I did.
Thanks for the photos. It confirms they are the same, just with a different routing for airflow. I wonder if you can get just the front portion that pulls air from the front grill. More research...
Just picked up a second to have in rotation for cleaning as well. Same thing, dealer had some trouble tracking down the correct part number, but eventually came in after a couple weeks.
Side question for you guys with the PRO: where does your air intake box pull air from? Can you take a...
Curious if anyone has found out anything new cleaning and expectations for these air filters. Dealer listed an incorrect and different filter to consider for replacement when I went in for service last week, bozos. I am with OP, the air filter p/n is 17801-YY010. The QR code sticker goes to...
The Peak 1" did a great job up front, no change in ride comfort from stock.
For the Dobinson, you may have to take a little gamble depending on what you want. Below is a screenshot for the rear spring options showing potential lift/load. Keep in mind these lift numbers are for an SR5 or TRD...
Yeah, it's a little hard with the tire poke.
The Peak lift cost $130 for the spacers and I installed myself.
The Dobinson springs were $270 plus like $60 in shipping. Also installed myself. I went with the C59-819V for the load and lift, but you can go lighter with the C59-817V which would...
No, measured from center of wheel/hub. Different size tires and tire wear will change the measurement from the ground so center of hub is more consistent across vehicles when talking lift. I'm happy to measure from ground tomorrow if you would like. I'm on stock tires with about 10k miles.
I ended up putting the Peak Suspension 1" lift spacer up front (7/16" thick spacer yields 7/8"-1" of lift) and the Dobinsons C59-819V coils in the rear (Mfr. claims 1.25"-2.25" lift in rear on stock Tacoma, but there is the Trailhunter lift to account for that is not super clear how much and how...
While I like the tire width coverage of the Arks, they look a little long for me. I reached out and connected with Jason at Ark and he sounds open to developing a shorter version of the full mud flaps that would split the difference between the full flaps and the micros. Thinking about 4" drop...
Can you share any pics of these on your truck? It is hard to tell their length from the pictures on the site. How well will they hold up wheeling? How flexible is the material? I fear if too long they will just get ripped off.
The only ones I have come across are from Rally Armor. I am looking for some to fit the Trailhunter as well. Those tiny guards that come with the truck have left fend flares and paint in front of the rear wheel wells trashed. Hoping there are more options...

When do you plan to have the updated 2" spacers that work with the factory spring seat hydro bump provision on the Trailhunters?
What front lift components are compatible with the trailhunter's OME supsension?
