I had the hood tremors at high speed on my 24 TRD Sport 4x4. I went low tech and used some of the black pipe insulation. Cut it up and squished it into the space between the hood sheet metal and the underside piece of sheet metal (through the cut outs of the underside piece). My truck did not...
Congratulations! I freaking love my TRD Sport 4X4 with sport upgrade+ (14" screen and moon roof) also in Underground. About to hit 3K miles and no issues. Live in Florida but have taken it through the NC mountains and it performed flawlessly. I've done some cosmetic mods to the exhaust and put...
No issues with my Rough Country liners. I've pulled them out to wash them numerous times so far and no warping or deformation. Even after being left out in the Florida summer sun to dry. They are thinner than my old Weather Techs that I had in my prior F-150, but I actually like the fact that...
Nope. The insulation sheets are crazy sticky. They are designed with a raised honeycomb-like pattern embossed onto the foil. After cutting the sheets with scissors (if you desire, they will stick on top of each other) you use a small roller (one small and one larger rollers on Amazon for cheap)...
My TRD Sport 4x4 with Sport upgrade+ 14" screen and moon roof does NOT have it. Salesman researched it via my VIN and advised that the factory primarily only includes the insulation on Premium models.
It's like $474.00 from Toyota. I spent $41.00 on butylene heat/sound deadening sheets from...
Hey yeah my salesman took his parts manager and they went out on their lot and checked various TRD Sports. Some had the insulation, some did not. He said they used my VIN and searched their system which showed that my truck was built without one on purpose. He said that from what they could...
I went with Rough Country brand ditch lights. Their brackets attach to the hood hinges and are completely out of my vision. They have multiple styles that all use the same bracket set-up.
Thanks for the links! BUT...every one of those does NOT have the 24 Tacoma as an option in their parts search menus. Bummer because I'm looking for my "missing" hood insulation mat that Toyota decided that my TRD Sport 4x4 with Upgrade+ didn't "need"!
I have a 24 TRD Sport 4X4 Upgrade+ in " Underground" with just short of three thousand miles. I live in Florida but took it on a road trip to the mountains of North Carolina. Freakin' loved the handling on the winding mountain roads, the ability to "manually" shift, the smooth ride, the...
Awesome! You are the smarter person I was talking about! Thanks, that gives me an idea how to wire them.
Did you find a resource (YouTube or something) that you followed for the proper wiring or just have that knowledge?
I'm not totally inept when it comes to vehicle wiring but again...fire ? is...
Lol I've got two "ditch lights" from Rough Country mounted on my TRD Sport 4X4, but have not been able to translate their wiring to the Taco's pigtail set-up. Meaning....I'm afraid of setting my new truck on ? MORE than I need the ditch lights! So they look cool on the truck but they are posers...
I bought these and installed them on my 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport++ 4x4, so I can confirm that these truly are for the 2024 (unlike alot of stuff for sale on eBay and Amazon that do NOT fit the 2024's.) These are from Rough Country.com. They have other styles of steps and boards as well.
I'm...
Welcome! Yeah I have not had a Toyota pickup since I was in my late teens and early 20's. I'm 58 now and I'm loving my TRD Sport++ 4x4.
I drove F150's for the last 20+ years and my Taco is a lot more fun!
My purchasing saga took about five months and I ended up buying it in another state, but...
So maybe I'm late to the game on this, but while tinkering under the hood of my 24 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4, I discovered a random but cool little "picture" molded into the plastic of the passenger side headlight housing. A Taco climbing a taco!
I'm not sure what an "axel dump" is (? Canadian thing?) but I used my sawzall and cut the belled end/flange off of my tailpipe and modified a Rough Country dual exhaust tip ($64.00 I think, cheaper than the black chrome OEM Toyota tip)(their website said it would fit a 24 Taco...it didn't!) to...
