Wow, that is quite a price jump! I’m all for paying extra if I’m truly getting higher quality. But I do need more convincing than someone simply telling me that it’s quality. Can you tell me what specifically justifies the price difference?
Thanks for the info! I love the flip up license plate over the fairlead. It would be like it’s not even there. And yeah, I’m not a fan of the idea of cutting the crossmember either. I also have the OR. This looks like a good option for me. Thanks!
I’m truly amazed by how many rigs I see that are all tricked out with the latest overlanding mods, yet don’t have winches. When I drove my old jeep around, my winch had proven itself to be one of the most useful tools to have. When you’re out in the middle of no where and you manage to find that...
I actually thought about that too. Bronze or gold. I have the bronze oxide truck too. Could also go black with gold around the edges. But I might be too lazy to put that much effort into it… haha!
Nice! And hey, fellow wildlife photographer here! I’m anxious to take some real trips soon. When you’re too close to the cities, birds are the most readily available subjects. Don’t get me wrong, I love shooting birds. But I need some variety. My old 2wd Ranger could only get me so far.
Hey all. I’m thinking of blacking out my front emblem. You know, to look like the cool kids. Sounds like a lot of folks use Plastidip. But I’ve used Plastidip so many times in my life for various projects, and it’s annoyingly fragile compared to how it’s marketed. I don’t want it getting chipped...
Sounds like a lot of the stuff you dislike about the truck are things you could’ve noticed during the test drive. No one here is going to convince you to like it if you’re already unhappy with it. Just get something else and be happy.
We have a couple of 2018 Tacomas as work trucks at the company I work for. I do agree that the gear shifting is annoying. We actually had a major repair recently where a rear brake got jammed and people were driving on it for a while. The reason? Because the jolting feeling felt so similar to...
I often wonder the same thing. Business competitors definitely do stuff like that. I see it on Yelp all the time. I look at some of those reviews in much the same way as those “abuse” tests people do on knives, hacking at steel pipes and prying things open with the tips. People love to see that...
So my old Ford Ranger, which I proudly drove for 13 years, suddenly took a nose dive just over a couple weeks ago. I had always wanted a Tacoma, but didn’t think I’d be getting one so soon. But within a couple of days of my old truck dying, I got her sold and became the proud owner of a brand...
