I got this today to keep in my truck along with my traditional tire repair kit. Supposedly it actually works for repairing sidewalls on the trail and can hold for hundreds of miles. Hope I never have to use it. But wanted to share.
Yup. On factory shocks and springs. I want to keep the shocks but I’ll def consider replacing the rear springs with some longer dobinsons. Based on what you’re saying 1/4” is fine — I’ll also measure again when I’m at fuller tire pressure.
Could lbe part of it. It has been cold out and I’m a little lower than usual on psi. But I’ve also heard of suspension settling. I’ll check again with higher psi.
Hey guys - I took measurements at multiple “sprung mass” spots on my truck when I first got it. For example, the frame was 14.25” from the ground. It’s now lower by about 0.25” or maybe a hair less than that in almost all areas. I’ve normalized for tire swaps and it’s definitely lower. I...
so weird - it also did it once when I aired down rapidly - I think part of the equation is how fast the tire lost pressure - but I cannot recall which tire it was last time
This is definitely in the category of what I’m looking for. It looks like it does not disturb the black plastic area that houses the sensors and fog lights. It just overlaps on top of it a bit. That’s a plus. I assume it must bolt into the frame somehow. I have never heard of ADD but they...
I really love the front bumper of the concept Trailhunter Tundra. Does anyone know if there is something similar I could add to my TH? Looking for something as close to this as possible that simply replaces that plastic grey piece under the chin. I’d add lights and maybe a winch.
Do you have any photos of the trail terrain up that mountain? And are you on stock tires? I live in Houston and want to do this trip with my son. Just want to assess the tire puncture risk as well. Thank you for your post.
How do they ride? This is a great choice for performance, off-roading capability, weight savings, handling on the highway, and fuel economy (low rolling resistance). I personally prefer the look of a wide tire but recognize that the skinny is better for performance.
Your tires are a true 33”...
That looks normal to me. It’s not too close at all. Yes the C load is a true 33 (versus a 32.8) in that size so it’ll be closer than the average 285/70/17 but that is not that close . When I ran 33.43” Falkens (275/70/18) it was a lot closer and I never rubbed once. You’re good. Send it...
