Going to post a somewhat lengthy update here because I've added several products since the last update and I've mentioned comments about these in other threads..
TL;DR -
BillieBars customer service is outstanding
Realtruck (Bak) changed their tonneau mounting design and customer service is bad...
I got the Cali Raised brackets for some Rigid pods carried over from my last vehicle. Fitment is good and they are relatively low profile. Found that the light pollution above the hood (while turned on) and slight obstruction of view wasn't really worth it. Took the lights off and will be...
Sorry to hear you're going through this situation.
Seems like an opportunity for aftermarket to come up with some kind of support bracket to avoid the full catastrophic failure of the top mount... Makes me anxious after going down washboards a little faster I should have been ?
Some great information shared here! This confirms a lot of my confusion about the OEM brackets NOT matching the updated Bak brackets, despite the assumptions of both being manufactured by Bak.
The revolver X4s is in the same situation as the MX4 using the updated Bak brackets. I positioned the...
I got roughly ~8% off MSRP using the program. The trade in value came back extremely soft and we argued over that for a while at the dealership. Probably was a wash in the end, but took away half of the negotiation. I'd always recommend using the program if possible. As others mentioned here...
I have a chirp noise that seems to be getting louder at 2.5K miles. For the life of me can't figure out what it is, it's more pronounced with the window down. Kind of seems like a squeak coming from the rear suspension.. was planning on mentioning to the dealer whenever I take it in for the...
Yeah, the quality and ease of use is honestly a little better than I expected. On past vehicles I've owned soft covers and a Lomax, both of which felt compromised in certain areas. I was surprised how easy it is to roll the hard cover in both directions. My criteria this time around were...
Bak X4s finally got delivered last week and installed it over the weekend! I think it took 6-7 weeks after submitting the order in early May.
Fitment is good (it better be), but you can tell the redesigned bed shape near the cabin is giving tonneau cover companies trouble. I'll have to put more...
That wasn't me on the FB group, likely a problem for the few of us trying to find one. The second order also appears to be refunded/cancelled, but I haven't heard from that dealer yet. The wait continues!
Part Number: PT226-35241-AA
Tried ordering from a random dealer that had it discounted on their site, no dice. They ended up cancelling the order saying it was unavailable. Ordered again through a local dealer, no updates yet.
I should be happy about this news, instead I'm super frustrated. Ordered long bed version 44 days ago and no updates this week.. currently still shows pending fulfillment despite website showing inventory available. Really losing confidence in Realtruck.
Oh that's nice, real clean install! This is probably a more realistic route than something OEM. Will probably look into mimicking this after the tonneau cover arrives.
It's fine for what it is. Not great, but not terrible. At first I was pretty bummed not having the JBL system but a number of people have been critical of the center speaker being too dominant. I had to tweak the audio settings quite a bit to find a good balance.. increased base, mid, treble...
