I may be missing something here and excuse me if so.
But on our 24 Limited, I can chose to see out of camera on back of cab @ cab light to see the bed and behind truck when tailgate is down.....
Maybe not on all editions?
My wife, who hears EVERYTHING, has never said a peep and I don't hear anything.
I didn't plug any holes, but seem to remember tucking the felt type material under other plastic or something before re-installing bolts.
AWESOME!
For the fuel mileage not to be the best, I have noticed a trend that when the much added weight and or towing is involved, it doesn't tremendously effect fuel mileage as most do...
My mind was blown when I pulled the car loaded down and truck loaded for 1st 100 miles @ 60mpg getting...
Was in eco mode.
And I removed air dam when it was getting 17mpg @ best (new) and was scratching for anything.
Some said it helped....
I will put it back on after I monitor the effect of the Toyota performance air filter on mpg.
Them after a couple of months I will add the air dam back and...

*Note:
The 77mph trip was about a 400 mile trip with truck...
So that was one of those big trailers?
I used the 2 wheel dolly that only carries front wheel and weighs a fraction of the full trailers.
Weight and the possible steep grades you may have run would make a huge difference.
I wouldn't have been upset with 13.5 and truly assumed as much. Which is...
Towed a 2003 Honda Element with the back of truck and backseat completely packed with as many clothes and blankets possible.
She pulled and run like a dream.
Was roughly 250 miles total
1st 12 miles was 50mph and was blowing my mind @ 22mpg avg, and truly felt like I had a tiny trailer and...
We didn't get much better when new but it slowly got better with more miles.
21.5 average most always by the time it had 15k miles as it slowly creeper upward.
Would be better if it wasn't my wife's daily driver of 90 miles a day 5 days a week (mostly highway and almost zero traffic) for work...
Sorry if already covered but "10" pages.....
Has anyone reported fuel mileage change after doing the stage 1?🤔
Would be interested in what the highway mileage is after.

Well as stated I was the worst teenager!
As I helped my father change both motor mounts in a 1973 LTD Wagon with the huge 460" engine, as he cussed his brother the whole time who used the car to pull a boat recently.
Was very little room to work in there.
What he didn't know was that I ran from...
Shouldn't see why not, other than as mentioned used heavy off road and will always be a very small risk.
I have always flipped all of mine and keep the stem pointing towards front of vehicle to minimize getting struck.
Haven't done the Tacoma yet as she just completed the last of the Toyota...
So the "15" year old kid agrees :sunglasses:
I pray he is not as I was @ that age and pushing the truck to the limit to go and STOP!
With only that many miles, my money is on the kid....
Maybe not, but definitely a possibility 🤔 😄
This has been brought up many times over the years and normal. Read where one said it was from a mold release agent used to help release the hose from the mold.
I generally wipe down every thing with a terry cloth rag that is wet with waterless car wash every time I service and it keeps...
