I mounted a camera on my canopy's rear window but I just used the usb outlet in the bed to power it. Couldn't be easier, on/off with the truck. I've been using Anker brand for years now because they are simple to use and aren't affected by temperature extremes.

Every manual I've owned has behaved like this, including 3 Tacomas. It's never been frequent, maybe once every couple months or so. I've always just assumed it was an operator error like not having my foot down all the way.

You should have just asked for replacement rubber inserts. The factory blades normally would not need to be changed, just the rubber part. It would have been about $15 for both sides but they wanted to sell you the more expensive option I guess.

You're going to want aftermarket mud flaps and sliders(or running boards.) Even with stock tires/wheels your paint will get chipped without them. I have RokBlokz Rally flaps but there are certainly other options out there.
