I’m trying to check my transmission fluid level and the service manual says to pin the thermostat. My 3rd gen had a transmission thermostat that was very obvious. I’ve looked all over this transmission and engine and I can’t find a thermostat anywhere. What am I missing?

I have 13k miles on my 24 Tacoma. In the last couple days I noticed that whenever I’m stopped on an incline, my RPMs jump up to about 1100rpm. Usually when I’m idling on flat ground it’s around 500 rpm. has anyone else noticed this? What could cause this?

265/70/17 Wildpeak tires + Method MR316 wheels on Underground 2024 Tacoma in the twilight sun.

Here are some 265s thrown in with all the 285s which seem to be the popular choice for the 4th gen. I’m not a fan of poke so I tried 17x8 +25 method 316s. The wildpeaks are pretty thick, I think with something like KO2s it would be flush.
