I don't know if you can disable it. I'm fine with it b/c as you point out, I can roll forward in the drive-thru without the engine rumbling back on (sometimes my Honda would stall out completely on restart). Or put it in Sport--actually the transition is pretty smooth so I usually don't mind.
So glad I happened to buy a hybrid (used one was the best deal on the lot) because it solves that problem. It was awful on our Hondas. Wife is looking at Grand Highlanders to replace Pilot and I will make sure she gets a hybrid for that reason.
I recently bought a hybrid OR Premium. It is a TON of fun to drive and I haven't even had chance to take it off the road yet. But I never drove the standard OR because they had a great deal on a barely used hybrid and I jumped on it.
When you test drive it check out the back seat, especially...
I agree. The stock interior lights are comically dim. The only aftermarket option I've seen is on this thread:

Personally, I'm on the fence about these MESO Customs lights. I don't want/need the...
I've been to Hawaii a few times (only to Kauai though). My impression of the truck culture there is: Tacoma, period. Any gen, any trim, any mod--just, Tacoma. And I'm here for it.
Hopefully heading back next year for the first time as a Taco owner myself...
Which ones did you buy? I actually like some of the understated ones--like not the moving/blinking Knight Rider* style, but just the "extra fog light" kind. Plus that fang trim is sort of pointless otherwise.
*where my fellow Gen-Xers at?
Yeah, thanks! I found that after posting (of course) and this one on the Raceface: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/raceface-t3-tailgate-pad-bike-carrier-installed-look.6907/
I am wondering about tailgate pad as well: I'd like to pair one with the Saris SuperClamp 4-bike (I menitioned above) for family trips. BUT I definitely don't want any damage to the tailgate, so it will take some research.
We have a lot of kids and a lot of bikes. (I sometimes travel with road, gravel and MTB, if time allows different kinds of riding).
We've had two Saris SuperClamp 4-bike racks for the last 8-10 years and have no complaints with those either. I haven't needed to replace any parts, but FWIW my...
I came across the Lensun and have been curious about it too--not so much for camping etc. because my stage of life doesn't allow much time for that--but I wonder about battery life.
And (excuse my ignorance of how these things work) would it have any impact on mileage for my hybrid?
Plus...
After 15 years, I said goodbye to Honda minivans and jumped on a Tacoma.
My research showed $46,000 was a very good deal for certified pre-owned 2025 TRD Off-Road hybrid with just 2,700 miles. Pretty much stock but upgraded w/Premium Package, all weather mats, TRD skid plate and a RealTruck...
