Perched so high above the dash, it looks like a casual knock from a passenger's elbow could knock it clean off. I cringe every time I see such a thing on modern cars.
It just looks ridiculously spindly and delicate. Just seeing it makes me uneasy, like I'm waiting for it to be improperly used...
Seeing that screen from this angle really grinds my gears, it may as well be an iPad hastily glued on top of the dash. Toyota, please spend the development time to INTEGRATE the screen into the dash.
All the other pics in this thread look a lot darker than the "Cement" 3G Tacoma color, but this latest pic looks close to Cement. I wonder which is the most accurate depiction? I'm hoping Underground will be darker than Cement.
I like silver cars. I've owned several. But this color has me worried, at least in photos online it looks like the most drab, lackluster silver I've ever seen. Damn.
Also, the side profile of the new Taco really has Chevy Colorado vibes. Yuck.
Turbos are a total non-issue for reliability if implemented properly by the manufacturer. Not worried here. Super stoked for the turbo to maintain horsepower at altitude! The naturally-aspirated V6 loses about 20% of its horsepower at 6000 feet where I live and work. And it just gets worse...
No offense, but that "specs" list in the first post is pretty airy. Not something I'm ready to hang my hat on just yet, given that this configuration was not available in the 3rd gen.
