Not that familiar with the Bronco thing but 2 wrongs don't make a right and I know all about the waiting game, I waited over a year to get my C8, and have deposits on Z06 (Which I recently cancelled) and a $4k deposit on an Eray that I've been waiting around a year. I've also had deposits on...
I'm so fed up with Toyota with this 2024 Taco TRD Pro release. They started all this hype and all these video's A YEAR EARLY!!
The year is 1/4 over and it's still not out, that's ridiculous. At this rate this should have been a 2025 release instead of stringing us along.
To add insult to...
Reached out to a local Lexus dealer about a 2024 GX550...They agreed to MSRP and estimated arrival about May for a base Premium trim (my requested trim). If I'm gonna go 60k+ I think that's the route I'm taking.
DAMN. Almost $55k for an OR?? And that's not even with the iForce Max!!
I was hoping the TRD PRO would be less than that. Several professional publications listed an expected price for the 2024 TRD Pro at $50k to $52k.
WTF is the Pro going to start at? $60k?? If so, F Toyota... I'm out.
Fully aware of what orange peel is. 51 year old car-guy who used to be really into detailing, and have had a lot of experience with high-end paint shops and detailing shops. The reason I didn't use that term is because what I saw was well beyond your average orange peel.
That said, I still...
Well this was ~6 months ago and after many phone calls I managed to find 2 out of state dealers that would take a deposit for a 2024 TRD Pro, and I placed a deposit with both of them.
One was a small dealer where I believe I was #4 in line for a TRD Pro, and they could not give me any kind of...
You are talking about a 2023 though....
Yes of course you can buy a vehicle online nowadays. But there's a big difference between buying a left-over and the latest hot release.
I called many dealers trying to place a deposit for the 2024 TRD Pro and so many of them wouldn't sell to me simply...
Whoa...@ 6:01 of the video...What's up with the paint above the nerf rails? It's all bubbly...I hope that's not rust underneath. Either way it looks terrible.
Or wait...is that a reflection of the ground?? It's so deceiving lol
Ooph. That's terrible. But if owners have been given nice loaners, they'll actually make out on the deal. Saving 8+ months of mileage, maintenance, and wear and tear on a free loaner instead of your own vehicle.
Performance and efficiency aside, you definitely can't go wrong with that old V6. But, personally, I don't see any reason why this new turbo-4 hybrid setup can't also be very reliable.
As has been stated, Toyota is no stranger to turbo-4's or hybrids at this point. So the technology is...
Mr. Brown seems to get slightly nervous whenever he talks about longevity & reliability.
Hopefully that's simply a result of him knowing the magnitude of that topic for Toyota customers, and not indicative of something negative.
Wow, where do I begin. First off I never said the Pro is so much better than the TH, or anything even close to that. Where are you getting that from?? They are both great and both come built with great components just built for different primary purposes.
You, as a future TH owner, were the one...
You serious?? There's a lot more to the TRD Pro then just rims and leather race seats. For starters, have you ever heard of something called suspension??
You "don't get" the Pro @ $49.6k, but are getting a TH @ $54.6k? LOL.
Also, why are you talking about $70k!? I would sure as heck think...
I'm assuming you are NOT talking about the TRD Pro or Trailhunter.
They both have a nice set of wheels and tires... IMHO.
I agree the rest of the trims have very blah wheel/tire setups.
As someone with a deposit on a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro and also someone who has always defended these seats while everyone else called them a gimmick...after watching this video I could not tell..at all...that the shocks on the actual seats were doing anything at all.
The only thing I see moving in...
Those front seats better be pushed ALL the way back, because as is shown in the pic, the back seats are obviously completely un-usable for any passengers. Hmm, I'm used to an F150 Supercrew...which has tons of room in the back. This might dissuade me....
Just read an Article @ Topspeed.com of the New Tacoma TRD Pro vs the new Colorado Bison ZR2, and they basically concluded exactly what I've said. Oh and in terms of comfort the stated the Taco will be more comfortable.
Below is their conclusion:
" Deciding which truck to buy mostly depends on...
Personally I didn't see it as a "fight"
There was no name calling or temper loss.
Nothing wrong with a good ole' fashioned fiesty debate on a forum.
It's one of the ways we grow and learn...
By taking in other people's knowledge, experiences and perspectives.
