Hello
Although mostly subjective, still entertaining assessment of mid shocks on 3rd gen. Probably under what you’re exactly looking for but shocks seen similar for 4th gen…
It be cool if the dongar parking mode adapter had a usb port for a cheap power bank that you could wire to the glove box. This would change while driving but allow for extended parking mode without draining the truck battery.
Here is a good video on considerations in adding aux electric loads. In this case it’s a dc-dc charger for house batteries. It’s for a different truck but the same rules apply. I wonder if there is a variable to read the Iforce max 12v amp load with and without alternator? Hope this helps.
The car care nut talks about the alternator inclusion on hybrid 4Runners with aux switches in his deep dive . Mostly to provide power for aux but also allows normal operation if hybrid battery fails. Personally I’ve never had a Toyota hybrid battery fail in my Prius 3rd gen.
Just guessing… alternator may be needed to provide higher amps for aux in 2025 Trailhunter and TRD pro models. Not sure about OR hybrid if it has 4aux and higher amps.

Do check specs on the 25 TH. I think they dropped the HUD. If your into the aux switches, there are more amps on some 25’s vs 24’s, probably hybrids in general. Check the online manuals.
This thread is invaluable to understanding how to haul heavy campers/loads. I'm wondering what load range tires (C?, E?) people are using especially over 1000 lbs in the bed. Also, has anybody found a front spring to level without a spacer?
2025 Owners manual is up:

Looks like there are two variations with Aux. One with 3 aux and one with 4 aux.
The 4 aux switch variation gets a significant change in amps...
@Burgi , have A look at dynamat or similar options. They are peal and stick. You’d have to remove some trim and attach to the metal body. Just an option. I wonder if higher trims like limited have some extra sound deadening material, so could be an oem option available too.
Great looking truck OP! If you have a scale around you can you weight it stock? Also a pic of the GVWR sticker on the driver door jamb would be awesome!
First of all +1 for three pedals!
In my other vehicle, the weather beater does not overlap the sill plate like the X-Act Contours here which is nice. In my vehicle, the plastic of the weather beater over 8 years curls up away from the edge next to door. Hope this makes sense. Looks like I'll go...
I stand corrected. The OP replied to my question on this in the thread and verified that the bed rails are relocated down for OEM just like the BAK Flip mx4.
@Everything TRD Hey OP, does the OEM trifold relocate the bed rails? From your photos it seems to mount directly to the existing bed rails. Note that the BAK mx4 relocates the bed rails which may limit OEM bed accessories that relies on bed rail positions.
Looking at the OEM trifold cover from this thread: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/oem-trifold-hard-tonneau-cover-pt954-35240-installed-on-2024-tacoma.4312/
It looks like the OEM does not re-locate the bed rails like the MX4 does. So something to consider if you like the OEM bed...
