Not sure what ya mean "mid level"..lol. The OR trim has always been toyota's most popular trim from day one in any gen. TRD PRO is mainly for people that actually do serios off-roading or mall crawler guys who want to show people they drive a off road truck ;). Even when I bought my 2nd gen Taco...

I was thinking of waiting for the hybrid but that looks like the starting price would easily be around $48k+ for OR trim :(. And not even sure if the hybrid really is worth the extra price just to save a few gallons ...........At $50k, may as well cough up and get a pre-owned full size Tundra.

I got one more year to pay off my Tremor so gonna wait this out till then but waiting for Ford to come out with the 2.7 ecoboost early next year on the new Ranger. It seems so far, the new Ranger has the best gas milege since NO Taco owner will be driving the truck with the fugly plastic skirt...

So looks pretty consistent with the '24 Ranger with the 2.3 engine which gets 20mpg combined. On my '21 Tremor trim, I'm averaging 21mpg combined with el-cheapo 87 gas.

And keep in mind, these #'s are with this monstrosity installed. And life hack.. if ya want a easy painfree removal, just drive the truck into any parking lot with a divider, pull back and it should be removed automatically ;).

I had a 2nd gen taco that I traded for my Ranger Tremor (which I love but back seats are small and so is the fuel tank for longer road trips). I'm paying it off in Feb 2025 and by then, both the hybrid Taco and Ranger will be readily availalbe (hopefully). But my current 2.3L turbo gives me...

The most important question is who's willing to pay $50k for a mid size truck (with dealer markups)??

My ranger will be paid off in early 2025 and I'm expecting '24 hyhrid OR to be fully available at the Stealer lots by then. Only thing is I'm expecting Stealerships to put $10k blatant marks up to gorge customers cos there'll be plenty of Taco fans who'll shell out $50k+ for a mid size truck...

I definitely like the gas milege as I use my truck now for commute almost daily. Does anyone know what's the warranty on the hybrid battery? And the cost to replace it?
