Did you get the tracks for the Rack from ARE or did they come from Yakima? I have almost the same setup, but I want to add a rack in the back for longer items (Kayak)
If they raise prices because of the Tarrifs then I hope nobody buys one. These are built in Ohio. There's no reason to raise that price. I drive by their factory all the time. What are they buying from China? Fiberglass? Buy American, it can't be that much more.
I had trouble with the relocated camera when it was on the bracket and pointed through the rear window of my Truck. It wasn't heat so much as it was the jostling around. I since did a permanent hole through mount on my cap. I'm working on a more robust design, but this has been great. I...
It is complicated. The parts value built in the USA (Drive Train, etc...) are not Tariffed. Most of the expensive parts, I believe, are USMCA compliant. There are multiple articles stating that Toyota is not going to raise prices, so we'll see. I feel we'll see a deal with Mexico/Canada soon...
Take it back. Doesn't sound like that AC Clutch was installed correctly. Get them to change your belt as well. Likely the screaming noise is from your belt slipping across a locked AC pully.
Also a Software Developer. We haven't seen the code, but maybe. I can think of quite a few things I'd rather see software wise before that if I was planning upcoming sprints.
Is the wiring there? If not, I would get switches from CaliRaised. They have a ton of them that fit in those OEM spaces and look nice, but they also have things like light bar, ditch, lights, etc., printed on the buttons
So long as that coast to coast trip isn’t in deep mud, you should be good. Recall specifically mention certain off-road conditions. Like I said, I’ve been in some sketchy places and in some mud and never had an issue.
That's a great idea. Where did you get the Taco Marine seals? I'm also thinking about pulling up my carpet and putting dynomat underneath. At the very least along the Firewall to help keep down engine noise.
Just looked at mine. It's not horrible close, but I could see a bunch of mud. I'm at +44 and from what I can see it wouldn't matter if you were at 0. That line is dead center of my wheel. I'm not entirely sure how they're going to fix this. I feel like they're going to have to move the line...
Does your paperwork reference the software update? I'm thinking that maybe there are some part numbers, etc... that will help guide us when we ask for the update. Clearly dealers aren't doing their homework.
Got mine on the app last night. I'll get in touch with my dealer on Monday. For now, I'll make sure to keep them clean. I also don't have OEM wheels, so I'm not sure if that is good or bad. I'll have it on the lift in a few days for an oil change so I'll see if there's a way to reroute it...
Very nice. I wish they would've had that model available when I bought mine. I like my cap, don't get the wrong idea, but I really want a rack on top of mine now and will probably have to build a reinforcement
