"Thanks for the input, I'm just curious, was their a reason related to the vehicle we share that pushes you to not wear your seatbelt or is it a personal matter?" That's how a reasonable, healthy human being asks thats question. Starting with "Ummmm...what?" Is how you let someone know you're...
The conversation was about brakes. You decided to focus on something irrelevant to you, so you could be judgemental and rude. Go kick your dog, yell at kids in your neighborhood, or whatever you people do.
I think my concern was a little heightened because that rear brake hose recall we had to bring it in for seemed odd.
Haha, I can't imagine being such a control freak/wanna-be know it all that I would ask another grown man that question. Yikes
This is very interesting. I turned off my seatbelt alarm when I first bought the truck and never wear my seatbelt. While I dont have to listen to the alarm, the truck won't let me use ACC or regular cruise.
I DEFINITELY use Traction Control; it's one of the reasons I just bought new tires...
That is interesting, not glad you have to replace your brakes but I am glad it isn't just me. Just an FYI/ help troubleshooting: I used Carista to turn off my seat belt alarm when I first bought the truck. I frequently do not wear my seatbelt (there's a backstory I wont get into) and while...
With the weather we're having so far this year, I'm not long for the Northeast either. That's one of the reasons for my high miles, I get out of here as often as I can 🙂.
That's interesting what you mentioned about brake wear in gentler climates. I hadn't really thought of that, but it makes...
I had my first annual state inspection in November of 2025, they told me my rear brakes just barely passed. I had 40k miles on it at the time, so I thought maybe it was time, but thought it was odd the rear brakes were going before the front. It was the dealership, so I just filed it away as...
I'm at 47k miles and just asked about the Rear Diff at my dealership. They told me they only change the entire driveline at one time for $399. Is that kind of the same thing you ran into? I might still do it, it's 15 degrees out, I don't want to 🥶
I'm at 47k miles and I am noticing this big time. I was sitting at a light at an off ramp after driving for about 40 minutes on the highway at about 80mph. I smelled what I thought was burning oil off a manifold and thought it was the car in front of me. Then I had the "Usual Suspect" moment...
Can I ask if you ended up with the Bridgestone Dueler Ascents? Or if you tried the Toyo AT3? I initially thought AT4Ws but I'm thinking twice for the same reasons, weight.
At my 1st yearly inspection I had 40,231 miles. I'm at 46,889 miles at 15 months. I don't keep vehicles over 100k because the value plummets, so I'll probably be kicking tires in the fall. Another reason is
I might go the route of picking up a higher mile 3rd gen as a DIY/hiking/kayak...
Just curious how they're working out? Have you had them in the snow? They must be LT at that size? Big falloff in mpg or ride quality? Thanks for any input
Buddy, there's nothing you can say. I made a fool out of you. You apparently spend half your life on here running your mouth, I'm sorry if I ruined that, and in turn, most of your identity for you. Sometimes it's just better to admit you've been owned and keep your mouth shut.
Haha, I copied and pasted your comment on one of my posts. 😂 That's glorious, so you not only proved how much an ignorant, hypocritical, d-bag you are; you called yourself a fag. Thank you, that was a good laugh to start the day.
I found a good deal on a set of TRD Pro wheels, I never liked the TRD Off Road wheels on these trucks. I told myself I would get used to them but after 47k, I still hated them and I was not buying a set of tires for them. I think they screwed up, I like the SR5 wheels better than the Off Road...
Wondering if they're still treating you well? I have a 2024 Tacoma Off Road with 47k on the original tires, but I am skating in the snow and slush this winter. I found a great deal on a set of TRD Pro wheels, I want to put these Dueller Ascent ATs on them, LT275/70/R18.
Also, perhaps more...
Will do, and your truck has the perfect stance. That looks great.
Also, thanks for letting me know about the lugnuts. I called this dealership earlier today and the parts guy was nice but he was concerned the lugnuts may be different. He wasn't sure, yours were fine = I'm not going to...
I have the 4 TRD Po wheels and centercaps in my cart for $984 after tax. Dealer is close-ish. I'm kicking myself because they had an additional 15% off up until New Years. Thank you for the code, it doesn't look like they accept it but it was worth a shot.
Did you use the same lugnuts from...
