I agree they are strong and aren't going to break or anything, but yeah the paint was worthless and simply flaked off. There's other painted steel things under my truck that still look brand new. It's just very disappointing to have a brand new truck and rusty $1200 junk hanging off the side...

Drilled the hole in question, painted, and had just enough room to get them on, not the ordeal I was planning for but it worked out.

Tackling it tomorrow, fingers crossed, I’ve never drilled out anything this heavy duty.

Instructions have you pop the clip covering this hole, not sure why

7 of 8 bolts in this is what you get for the passenger rear bottom

Why did I break out that wide plastic clip? It’s specifically pointed out in the instructions but the slider goes completely around it?

My passenger side front m10 bolts don’t line up, I got everything loose and there’s no play

What are people's thoughts on an early fluid change?

Yeah I had a RAV4 for 6 years and a folder full of Service Bulletins, probably 6-7. Never had any of the issues mentioned. Traded it in for the Tacoma.

Mines on the list…no issues though. Hope I get something in the mail? Not very comforting knowing it could just clunk out any minute.

Same here, bought a vehicle from them and been using them for service for 20 years, and they tried to gouge me on a Tacoma. They burned all respect I had for them and I'll never go back.

I was worried about this too but the engineer said the cat is up in the engine compartment now and very hard to get to, so no shield needed it seems.

Thanks for the video! FYI this is a markup dealer, they quoted me $2000 over MSRP for a TRD off road. They are part of a large Ganley group all doing markups. There are other dealers in the area only charging MSRP.
