From the ad copy on Amazon (for a product that's not Trumgeta branded as such but seemingly is what OP purchased since it has his product review there as well...):
INSTALLATION - The bed channel stiffener can be installed using the 4 original holes of the Tacoma bed, but drilling 3 more holes...
I'm not sure the video is even a vendor produced video. It just looks like some random guy doing the installation. IMHO if he can do it, anyone can do it (no shade to the content creator intended). If you look at the written instructions it looks like a pretty easy install. Pull off some...
Very good write up. This may seem like a silly question, but do you think it would make any sense at all to just do the rear? It doesn't look like they even sell the rears alone as an option but doesn't hurt to ask.... You've really nailed my use case scenario, with a permanent wedge camper...
Welp, who knows. I guess anything is possible, but using that logic then per their specs the values of .82 to .97 are allowable. If .90 is perfectly straight, then .82 would be negative toe (pointed out) and still within spec, which no one would ever want in a vehicle driven on the street...
Green (current) are the new specs. That seems very high. I don't trust the dealer any more than I do the generic tire shop with 19yo technicians. In 10k you'll know if that's ok or not, all I know is I destroyed a nice set of KO3's using toe far less than that.... ;o)
To be fair and...
That can't possibly be good. That much toe will destroy your tires. It might drive straight but that's simply because it's the same on both sides, not because it's right. If anything, toe should be as close to 0 as possible. The original shop that did my alignment after my lift put toe at...
What a great adventure! I've been planning a similar trip, leaving Seattle, going through BC to Alaska, over to Anchorage and around to Fairbanks and back down through the Yukon.
It sounds like you mainly stayed in campgrounds in Canada. Did you ever need a reservation or were they pretty...
It's still in the same spot. The wiring is slightly different than the 3rd gen though. I tried figuring out the hack to force it to stay at 400 watts all the time but the wires are different colors and I couldn't figure out which one was the trigger and didn't want to randomly cut wires so I...
Oh, and the Starlink and a cell booster are really two different products entirely. I have the HiBoost, which is pretty much the same as the Weboost and I never use it but it does have it's use case scenarios. It's good if you're just trying to make a call and barely have a signal, but keep in...
There is no way I'd trust the mounting brackets that come with the SL Mini kit. IMHO they're only suitable for stationary mounting. Buy a good bracket that encloses the mini and gives you multiple mounting points to securely fasten it. You might be able to use the Striker Fab kit mentioned...
I don't have pics but the easiest way I found to route cables into the truck for this type of purpose is through the subwoofer enclosure. If you take the four nuts holding the subwoofer off you'll find that the subwoofer is externally vented through a baffle. Cut a couple of pieces of the...
I'm running 3 - 100 watt Renogy flexible panels glued to my Lone Peak. They charge an Ecoflow Delta 2. When on longer trips I can also plug in a Delta Max extra battery.
Due to the Delta 2 only having one solar input I'm running the solar through an ETaker F2000, which has inputs for both...
Keep an eye on pricing. Normal price is $500 but they routinely put it on sale for ~$300-350. I believe everyone has the same pricing, and the same sales, so Home Depot is a convenient place to pick one up when they're on sale. Also, ping me or one of the other guys when you're thinking of...
I believe that deal is no longer available, at least it wasn't an option for me. What you can do now is effectively pause the subscription and just pay $5/mo for "emergency" type service. I've done that and you still have (unlimited data) ~1mb download speeds, which is just fine for email and...
Mine is mounted on top of my Lone Peak camper so I had to design a bracket that would swivel. When I'm driving it sits flat and when I pop the camper up the bracket tilts up to keep the mini flat. Works great!
I'm not sure what advice you're looking for but here are a couple of tips.
Watch their video, it's pretty clear for the most part.
Their original instructions didn't mention how to take apart the front shock. I see the video addresses it much better now but the threaded end of the shock...
My TRD OR has been tuned for ~6 months now and I love it. I've got ~1,000 lbs permanently on the back with my camper and frankly I can't even tell it's there. It may not be quite as radical as it is with the hybrid (never driven one) but I think it's well worth the money. To me the biggest...
