What I did was drill a 1/2" hole in the subwoofer enclosure and ran all my wiring out the baffle that sits behind the subwoofer. It's been over a year and I've noticed absolutely no ill effects from this (no dust building up behind the subwoofer or anything else negative). The hole doesn't...
Ah. It's the selection of the tire mount that changes whether it's compatible or not based on the lug nut pattern. Nothing to do with the rack itself....
I'm just curious, RiGd's website says the UltraSwing isn't compatible with the '24 Tacoma. Any idea why that might be?
I've been toying with the idea of getting something like this but I'm inclined to just buy the Victory rear bumper w/swing out and be done with it.
The on/off switch is in the power cubby in the back of the bed. It's protected so there is no way it will accidentally be powered on, and if it accidentally did get left on, you would know pretty quick. Without a hose connected the compressor will only run for a second before the pressure hits...
Not necessary. The switch just mimics the stock switch on the unit. The power cables go straight to the battery and replace the stock alligator clips that come with the compressor. The only real difference when mounting it permanently is that I, of course, put a fuse inline next to the battery.
Nice! I've been waiting for something similar to fit under my Lone Peak. I'm not so concerned about the extra cargo space but am thinking the wind deflector would help with gas mileage and wind noise.
I have thought about buying an off-the-shelf rack and cutting it down to fit but that...
I have the Thor's Lightning with a Speedflate hose kit and the four preset deflaters, so basically all the same set up. It's fantastic. I permanently mounted my compressor, effectively where the factory compressor would be, between the bed and fender. It's been six months and so far, so good...
Thanks. I agree with all your changes. Nicely done! I thought it looked like a Victory bumper but I didn't think they have been out that long so you must have gotten a very early production run.
The stop plate seems a little goofy the way it sticks out from the bumper. Maybe powder coating...
Those look really nice but it's a lot of money so I did my own version with some plywood I had laying around. Not nearly as sweet as the Goose Gear stuff but it was almost free.....
I've had the Opt7 48" installed since April '24 and it has been great. No led's have burned out or anything. Install it using magnets because you need to slide the light bar out of the way to get at the spare tire mechanism.
BTW, Not sure the difference between the one I linked on Amazon vs...
I've had a V1 since June '24 and haven't looked at the available accessories recently so I'm not really up on the V2 but my thought is that everyone is different in their skill levels and what they're comfortable doing after the purchase. Some people want a turnkey solution, some want to do...
Technically you don't even need the Carista OBD reader. The Carista software will work with other OBD readers, although there are some caveats to that. I have the OBDLink LX reader and it worked great with the Carista app, and then as others state I just cancelled the app after the month was...
Frankly, it's been long enough ago that I don't recall even seeing the little brackets that you're pointing to in the picture, but I know I didn't use them and I'm uncertain where you would attach them to the bumper? If you can make them work then by all means, go for it!
The small brackets...
If you want to go the cheap route, I bought this 1/2" rubber mat and trimmed it to fit. I flipped it upside down when installing it so it's perfectly smooth. It may be a bit ghetto but it suits my needs perfectly.
One benefit is that it's rubber instead of hdpe so it's not slick like...
I installed this a couple of days ago and, yes, it comes with a security screw and the bit. You just remove an existing bolt (10mm socket if I recall?) and replace it with the new screw. Nice piece for the price. The edges are pretty sharp but once it's installed you're never going to touch...
The Go Rhino Dominator boards have been out for a long time. I don't know if anything has changed but I've had them since April of '24. They were one of the first mods to my truck. I love them but they won't be for everyone.
For one thing, they stick out a long way (hence the name "D6")...
