Looks like there is a “water control valve” that electronically controls the coolant? I looked through the entire cooling system and see no thermostat. The trans has 2 lines running into the radiator and that’s it. I don’t even think there is a transmission cooler?
I’m trying to check my transmission fluid level and the service manual says to pin the thermostat. My 3rd gen had a transmission thermostat that was very obvious. I’ve looked all over this transmission and engine and I can’t find a thermostat anywhere.
What am I missing?
lol that’s such bullshit. My original dealer told me the same BS yet refused to take me along for a ride in the other Tacoma they supposedly compared it to. I ended up having to go to a different dealer who took me serious and fixed the issue.
I test drove another TRD sport and a SR5 and they all felt basically the same. I think it’s just a resonance/harmonics thing from the drivetrain and the frame. Toyota could probably address it with different engine/transmission tuning.
Is this what you're talking about? 2”-2.5” Slotted Hitch Bar Lock - 1UP USA . I don't have that, I just have the special 8mm bolt that actuates the ball which secures the rack in the hitch. My rack is almost 10 years old so I'm not sure what exactly they look like today.
I do probably a 70/30 highway/city mix of driving. I rarely go above 70mph and I’m on 265 tires. On my work commute it’s not uncommon for me to get 25+ mpgs and that trip is like 90% highway at 70mph.
I don’t know guys, I went back to discount tire today and had them road force balance the wheels and check the rims. Everything is good. I put a dial indicator on the rear hubs and they’re straight too.
Not sure what’s going on. I do know the vibration is worst when I’m just lightly on the...
I'm on my second set of tires because of this problem. Would be pretty crazy if I had out of round tires in 2 different sets. I'm starting to think maybe it's one of my rims? I'm going to start swapping wheels with my spare and see what happens.
