Hello Mr. Taco and thanks for the advice
On this matter, I am ignorant.
I do like, and benefit from, engine noise; Like another person here says, the machine talks to you and you should listen.
But, these days with everything digital, I would not know what to do if I heard a change.
I will order...
I have a 24 Trailhunter with no alternator, I have never had a battery problem.
In Jan I left the country for 2 1/4 months and went to the garage, and it started in 1 sec flat.
Any problem with starting after a few weeks should be investigated since it is not supposed to happen
This does not make any sense, there has to be something wrong with your truck.
Please take it to the dealer.
I have a thread on this and no one has reported a mpg consumption below 11
There is a problem with your truck
Thanks.
How is it that you get 22mpg?
What are you doing?
What is your normal driving speed on a 75mph speed limit?
My best mileage has been 17mpg trying hard to keep it below 2500rpm's.
This thread has lost its original reason to exist, and it was:
The Trailhunter's gas consumption is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the 23 to 24 mpg advertised.
All contributors have reported way less than that.
The second point is that, despite the abysmally low mpg number, the gas tank has been...
Hello:
I think you must have had it installed by now, and I am seriously looking for a front bumper and winch combo for my 24 TH.
Could you comment on the results with your choice of bumper?
Problems?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Gaston
I also drive a Trailhunter, 2024.
It is possible, with care and gliding (it charges the battery) when you see a red light ahead and on all downhills, to get 17/18 on the city.
HWY I try to keep it between 2000 to 2500 rpms, it is the sweet spot of the transmission and, especially if you avoid...
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I installed a Diamondback tonneau cover, it can take 400+ pounds of weight, but I doubt I will ever load it like that.
It is attached by 4 clamps, 2 per side, in the middle to prevent the bed walls from moving as well as anchoring the cover..
In your case, I think...
I do not know a lot about mods so, maybe this is a stupid question, but I honestly do not know the answer.
What is the purpose of the Cali Raised Bed Stiffeners?
Thanks a lot

What do they accomplish?+Thanks
I am interested on the rear springs.
I am totally ignorant of these mods, so bear with my questions here.
1-What is the benefit of these springs? is it to allow heavier cargo?
2-Does installation require modification or any mechanic can do it?
Thanks a lot for your help.

I agree Mr. Harry, but it is getting better now and some folk are giving tips and advice.
As for the argument, its human nature, we all do it and it is a pain but, so it goes!
You are referring to "civilized" parts of Tx.
Thy driving in Utah, southwestern NM, or 200+ miles Transamerica trails with an 18.2 gallon tank.
I don't think so.
PS: I did not know Padre Island was available for overlanding. Did you start at Padre Island town?
I have not changed the tires. I am a fanatic about tire pressure and check it often.
Out West, there are plenty of stretches where the next gas station is 90 miles, even 110 at some places.
Not all are advertised with the "next gas, stc" signs, so trust me, 18.2 gallons are not enough .
I find...
Thanks a million, Bigd, this is the place.
I wrote my name on the waiting list and specified Trailhunter.
Everybody is different and we all drive differently. My experience is that once you load the truck for an adventure and then start the trail in 4wd you will be doing , maybe, 13 mpg...
