  1. Automatic wipers in TRD Pro?

When I come to a stop for a bit my wipers change from steady to intermittent. Software.
  2. TRD off-road exhaust tip / turndown installed

Nice. Knipex Plier Wrench. It’s a life changer.
  3. Tis the Season… for Tacoma Upgrades! What’s on Your List?

Fang lights and a better rear bumper. Then Bilsteins, 2ā€ lift and some Nitto tires. It’s only $$$
  4. DIY: 6MT Oversized cupholder install

So much better than the stock cup crusher.
  5. Day 2 of ownership… so I guess this is a thing

At one point I had three of mine (after sale) in a row. ā€˜01, ā€˜09, & ā€˜16… it’s a thing.
  6. Truck is lost! Thinks I'm in the US.

Me thinks there’s a ā€œ51stā€ state reference here, not at all to sound political. 😬
  7. New wiper blades from the dealership.

Yeah, I know better than to get them from the stealership… I showed them the price I was offered on their own &$@# app. $45, but the swervice manager is oh well they’re like premium wipers… ugh. So well anyway the left wiper was the wrong length. I measured 26ā€ and that’s why it was tripping...
  8. New wiper blades from the dealership.

Took my Tacoma in to the dealership for a pre-roadtrip maintenance and checkup. Asked for new wipers. Later that day, it’s raining and the left blade is tripping over the right blade. Not every time but worse on intermittent and unusable on high. Either one of the blades is off center, the...
  9. Hood flutter/vibrate? Call Toyota

I wonder if it’s because it’s aluminum? My hood doesn’t close equally on both sides at the front. Body shop told me that was a manufacturing issue and suggested that the dealership might fix it. The dealership did not. ā€œIt was within specā€ā€¦
  10. Has anyone drilled a hole in their bed yet?

I used a step bit to get a clean hole. I drilled for the same drain hoses for my Bakflip cover.
  11. What's in the center console under the dash ??

sounds like it needs a Faraday cage to quiet its reports…?
  12. Trd lift vs iforce Max

Pick your power. I really like the iForce Max. I wanted the underseat storage. The factory lift in my 4x4 SR5 is fine until I add 2ā€ or so. Wasn’t excited about the hybrid on the first year though it’s not a deal breaker.
  13. Son drove the truck to school and back, apparently popped it in 4hi

4HI works great on wet pavement for blazing off from a red light… Turning though is better left for OR or 2WD
  14. "Recommended" (but not covered) Wheel Alignment at 15K mile service?

My Stealership has them in the intake lanes. Big screens show tire wear and alignment for each vehicle as it crosses.
  15. Cracked windshield again

Yes. Two running cracks on pass side. One from the center out, one from the outside inward. Both from rocks. Maybe it’s part of the weight savings? Doesn’t seem as tough as it could be…
  16. Does your Bakflip bed cover leak water? MX4, X4s, etc?

I have an F1 cover and the little it does leak goes down the sides or g ET s funneled into the drain tubes. My bed mat keeps my cargo dry enough and I have a bed bag if it has to be waterproof. The fit of the cover is finicky so I’m not sure if adding a seal would let it close properly. The...
  17. Holy crap! What hit this?!

    Airbags. Otherwise no survivors.
  18. TRUMGETA Bolt-On Side Steps: 2024 Tacoma's No-Drill Upgrade (EZ Install+Anti-Slip!)

I bought a Trumgeta roof rack for my SR5 and it’s great! 260lbs capacity works perfectly for my canoe!
  19. CarPlay keeps failing

Definitely a glitch in the HU software/firmware. It usually fails on start up and a reboot/restart does the trick. Sometimes I can’t switch to the radio from CP. The non CP functions are often slow to respond. I have all the subscriptions offered. Keep expecting some update will fix it or...
