  1. Maps in Digital Cluster?!

Was it in the center of the gauge cluster or to the left? If in the center, it overtook whatever you had as your chosen center display for the amount of time needed to display that next direction, and there's no way to bring it up manually. If you want it more permanently up there, you have to...
  2. Anyone brave enough to tow a camper yet? I was.

Been towing this 3k lb (when full) camper with this iForceMax ORP since last summer. I get anywhere from 13.5 to 16.5 mpg depending on terrain and headwind. The inverter can power the camper's A/C unit (as well as fast charge some onewheels at 500-600W) without a problem. Rough estimate was...
  3. What Nav System: Onboard vs Google vs Apple

Only your phone's 1st party maps app will show up in the HUD with turn by turn. So if you have an iPhone then Apple Maps will show turn by turn, if you have an Android phone then Google Maps should show turn by turn. I used to keep the Compass/Navigation set off to either the right or left...
  4. NYTOP Rock Sliders installed! A few photos on my bronze oxide TRD ORP hybrid.

Definitely wish I had been close enough to skip shipping, you’ll save a LOT of money lol
  5. NYTOP Rock Sliders installed! A few photos on my bronze oxide TRD ORP hybrid.

Simple bolt-on to existing holes. The hardest part was finding the right height of boxes to hold it up as you get the threads started. Once you have a few in it's easy peasy.
  6. NYTOP Rock Sliders installed! A few photos on my bronze oxide TRD ORP hybrid.

There don't seem to be many pictures out there of these (I scoured for as many as I could as I waited for them to arrive lol). Hope these help contribute!
  7. NYTOP Rock Sliders installed! A few photos on my bronze oxide TRD ORP hybrid.

After a 6 week wait (on the early side of their estimate), these beautiful @NYTOP Rock Sliders arrived over the weekend. Put them on today, and they look great! Kudos to @NYTOP on a well-designed, unique, and low-profile solution for rock sliders & steps. Very much my speed.
  8. Describe your transmission behavior.

Been a while since I've checked in. I now have over 11,000 miles on an OR hybrid built in June 2024 (my VIN falls within the TSB.) Occasional hard shift leaving home from a cold start, but otherwise smooth and problem-free. Got my first oil change at 10k and no issues there either.
  9. Side storage cup add-on options (OEM)

When you click through for more details, all 3 part numbers seem to service the same number of models/vehicles ?
  10. Maps in Digital Cluster?!

You can get some turn by turn directions in either right or left gauge cluster while using your native maps app through carplay (apple maps) or android auto (google maps). It's a half measure to get there, but better than having to turn your head to the center screen.
  11. Maps in Digital Cluster?!

If the new 25 4Runners are anything to go by, the 25 Tacomas will also not have this center map function. Seems to be relegated to other vehicles like the Highlander, despite using the same gauge cluster, for some bewildering Toyota reason. Drives me crazy. At least we can still get some turn by...
  12. Side storage cup add-on options (OEM)

I noticed that too. I wonder what the difference is in these 3 part numbers with 2 different prices?
  13. Garmin Mini 3 + Dongar is a great fit for hiding a dash cam behind the rear view mirror!

Super easy install, and great support. Thanks Dongar!
  14. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

TIL I have the 588th hybrid Taco built based on this breakdown. That's kinda cool. This may be a reason why the hybrids were delayed, they may have seen some signs of this problem and made sure everything was retooled before starting hybrid/halo production. Sucks for those who were truly amongst...
  15. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

This took just a few seconds of googling… https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-sub-assy-rad-53101ak070
  16. Hybrid MPG -- 26.6mpg city driving!

I’ve found that even at higher temps, the air still comes out at a pretty good clip. Sometimes I want tamer flow lol
  17. Hybrid MPG -- 26.6mpg city driving!

Honestly the best use of Eco I have found is that it takes the A/C chill down a notch when it's doing TOO good a job lol
  18. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

I've had my Taco since July 6th, and since that day I've had a list of links to future upgrades I knew I'd want. One of those links: 53101-AK070 - Grille Sub Assembly Rad - Toyota Parts Delivered At the time the price was $273 for the heritage grill, but I see it has since come down to $268...
