Good idea, maybe the smell is coming from the airbox/pcv somwhow? I think it is more of a crankcase smell, not exactly oil burning. You might be on to something with the source, but I don't think it is combusting, the smell is definitely coming from under the hood, not trough the exhaust.

I get it too, it is when the motor/turbo is hot. I have looked everywhere(except removing the turbo cover... yet) and can not find anything. But yeah, please if anyone knows what it is, please chime in.

Good to hear it. I think a lot of us have been waiting an a good write up. If the 6112's are not out in a few months, hell, $500 or so for 5100's sounds like a pretty good fall back plan.

Thanks for the write up. I have been checking often for the 6112's to be released from Billstein. I may not wait much longer. I loved the 5100's on my 2010 trd OR, it was a big improvement over stock. Maybe I will just go with the 5100's soon. And you cant beat the price.

Did you check it when cold. Mine did the same thing when hot, and when I rechecked it in the morning, it was normal. Now when I change the oil, I try to get it 3/4 full and call it good.

My old 2nd gen with 5100's felt better than my 24"OR. Harder to bottom by more than a little bit, it felt more dampened and bombing along rough fire roads was better. How do the new 5100's handle the bump stop? internal? That may be the problem I am having with the 24 shocks.

I cant remember but keep looking. It is in there. I have it and everything else turned off, drives just like it should. I still do love the option to hit the cruise control option and everything turns back on, basically driving itself.

So, I have a 24 TRD OR and initially I was not too impressed with the suspension, and the bump stops were very disappointing. Well, at 12k miles in now, the bump stops don't seem to trigger on speed bumps anymore and everything has loosened up a bit. Give it time before you replace everything...
