  1. Low mileage trade in's - why??

The wait is a pain, but Canadian pricing is very competitive compared to US pricing; 2026 Limited Hybrid in the US is US$56,495, in Canada is CA$68,436, that is an effective exchange rate of around 1.22. Using the current rate of 1.36, the CA price would be around CA $77k. I would wait 6 months...
  2. Low mileage trade in's - why??

Something is off here. Pricing is higher than 2026 list for brand new.
  3. OEM Parts/Accessories in Canada Discounts

Just watch the border crossing coming back, not sure how if tariff situation will be applicable. I did most of my same-day pickups last year and only had the 13% HST. This year I used my 48 hour+ allowance to avoid the 13% and the tariffs issue.
  4. OEM Parts/Accessories in Canada Discounts

I've yet to find a dealer in Canada that does not waste your time, seems the common thread is lack of respect for Toyota customers. When I need OEM, I order online in the US [anywhere from 15-25% discount] and ship to CBI in New York for pick up. Most mods have come from 3rd party providers...
  5. SXTH Element - Cold Air Intake - Leadtimes/Pre-orders?

I have ordered several items from Sxth, including the CAI, recovery hooks & step bracket and turnaround was within 2 weeks each time. Response on questions/emails within 2 days usually.
  6. Toyota completed blind spot recall; Now Drive Start Control Malfunction.

My guess is the tech used a power tool with too much torque. Stripped is probably not the correct description. Once I managed to remove the bolt I saw the actual treaded part on the crossbar was broke off and it and the bolt was just spinning. Took 2 hours to carefully grind the bolt head down...
  7. Toyota completed blind spot recall; Now Drive Start Control Malfunction.

Not much different in Canada! Scheduled my 16k-km service which included an oil change [already did 2 myself] and the the L99 Service Campaign for the BSMS. I also asked them to take a look at why the truck thinks my trailer is still hitched up. 1. They stripped a bolt trying to remove the skid...
  8. Is a 2025 Limited a Good Choice?

Love my Limited, no regrets whatsoever. My OR adventures are not very demanding and wanted the iMax so Limited was the best choice for me. Wasn't a fan of the chrome so went full bore on deleting. Love the tech & features and can make it look like an aggressive off-roader [poser I know].
  9. Full or Partial PPF

Did front end [hood, bumper, fenders] PPF clear and roof/pillars & mirror caps in PPF satin black to give a "pro" look. May look at adding some protection to the rear fender flares.
  10. Fuel economy

Limited Hybrid and best I've been able to achieve is 12.7/100km on various highway road trips averaging 115-120km/h. Do a lot of lift & coast and very little heavy accelerating. My wife loves this new driving style, normally 130-145 in my Q50.
  11. Back with a new Tacoma from the Land Cruiser Forum

Thanks, I appreciate it. There are few treads on the "black-out" subject with some really great ideas and solid guidance. I will try and dig them up and link you to them. Briefly, I started with the OEM 18" TRD wheels [not the Pro] and put on Pirelli AT+ 275/65/18. The grill, which I think...
  12. Back with a new Tacoma from the Land Cruiser Forum

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope all works out for you. Attached some pics of my Limited. Perhaps I went a little overboard but I'm a newbie when it comes to both pick-up trucks and the Tacoma so I didn't know when to stop! Just added the cap last week.
  13. Tow & Trip Review - Chicago to Moab... Can you wheel a Limited Taco? Yes!

Thanks for sharing. Great idea what expect, planning a road trip to Moab next year from Toronto Canada.
  14. 2024+ Tacoma 4th Gen OWNERS Registry List & Stats [Add Yours]! 📊

Picked my truck on August 23rd. Finished the conversion last weekend. Certainly changed the look of the truck significantly. Special shout out to Gruvy522 & Nic24ifmltd for the help.
