If you are using AA and you want to use the voice assist for it you have to long press the button on the steering wheel. a single tap just interfaces with the Toyota side of things.

Mine will auto connect sometimes as I walk up to it but most of the time if I was out of range I just hop in go to settings and manually connect it before driving off.

It is def buggy software, and some of the apps feel downgraded from what you would get on just the phone. its got so much potential though
