Anyone else have a similar experience?
I am having to replace my tires before winter hits here in CO but have only had the truck 11 months and just hitting the 10k mark. I went in for the 10k service and they checked the tread on my tires. 4/32 (front) 5/32 (rear). I could run them until the...
When I took my truck in for the 6 month/5k miles service I asked for the oil change that is part of the "Special Considerations" mart of the recommended Toyota maintenance. It states that if you drive on dirt roads (or use it for towing) there are additional services to perform that include oil...
Not to necessarily stir the pot, so to speak, but the bill in the earlier link is an "appropriations" bill. Funding for the technology, not implementation for manufacturing. The NHTSA proposal, under timeline, only says more research is needed...
$15 a month to be able to start my truck from my phone, yeah, no! Not happening. That is the only thing I would use the app for anyways. I turned off all the notifications and the whole driver summary thing. I drove like a 90+ old man until the engine was past (OK, almost past) the break in...
You can if you want to be able to shift into a higher gear and thus be able to go faster. In the manual it's called "S" mode or as it has been said earlier on this post "Sport". It just gives to a different level of control for what gear you are using.
There is always the manual shift option?? If 4-lo 1st is too slow for you, maybe try 2nd or 3rd?
I walk faster then my old jeep moved if I just let the idol take it forward in 4-lo. Haven't tried it with the truck... yet. ?
I wonder if this will work for both reverse and forward?!?
We went snowshoeing this past weekend and when we got back to the truck, my wife though it would be nice to sit on the tailgate and have our hot cider. The tailgate was over a patch of solid ice so I though it would be good to move...
I guess I need to get a new photo as I have shared this one in other threads s few weeks ago.
Less then 24 hours from picking it up, out on the front range, Pikes Peak area.
I have had a different fob issue. I parked and went for a hike, when I got back I got the "no key detected" message. Holding the fob up to the start worked to get home but the fob was completely dead, two weeks old. I was going to take it to the dealer and have them replace the battery and...
I am looking forward to more adventures for sure. I have never had anything with this kind of technology (79 CJ5 and 94 Ram) so it is a completely new experience to me. I just couldn't believe how it worked. My wife was steering with a smile on her face, saying I am not doing anything. I was...
We went snowshoeing in the mountains of Colorado this weekend and almost got stuck. The road to the trailhead is not maintained so there was about 14"+ of snow for the first half then it got deep. Started up a hill and I could see where someone else had gotten stuck before and left it...
This is on the Toyota site under the "My Toyota" owners page...
Just saying.
Plus with the first two years/25,000 paid for, I think the first 4 changes should be at 5k. After that, well I guess that is between you and your truck. :geek:
Takoda - meaning "allies" or "friend". We wanted a name that started with "T" and that one stuck out, plus we liked the meaning.
Why? Because we just kinda always have. :) My wife and I both named our vehicles before we met and it must run in the genes because without it really being a big...
After waiting for the model, options and color I wanted for over six months, we picked it up Friday afternoon!
Took me all of about 14 hours to get into the mountains. Handled Great!
OK, well, I guess as far as the timeline goes, this is the last post.
So in short, I placed my deposit on 4/27. I was told the truck was on the way on 9/6 with a build date of 10/9. Got conformation that the truck is at the dealer and ready for pick up today, 11/13. A total of 36...
