Well not scientific and probably not all that accurate but you do you. No way to get accurate readings the way it is done unless after each and every 100 you pulled over and filled back up and did the math the correct way. The Toyota instrument is very “directional” but by no means accurate.
I would disagree. You and others that have gone all in are spending over $3k on a system. The other guy spend over $5k. I have shopped a good system and it would be just under $3k. That is not cheap. This option while I am sure better than JBL and not as good as yours or the other guy is a DIY...
Well keep us posted and I would love to know the labor cost if you would DM me when complete. I am trying to find someone local to do the install. Having a problem as they all want to just push this brand or that brand. They don't want me supplying my own gear. They are really all over the...
Husky all weather mats, some carbon fiber overlays, fun stickers on open/blank switches, anti glare screen protector and tinted windows. That is it for me. I explored a new stereo system but backed out. No one here local seems to have the knowledge, know how and recommendations that made me...
I think all the cheap added on lights ruin what is a nice looking truck. Reminds me of when I was young and we tried to add anything we could on our cars from Pep Boys.
There are already dozens of these threads. You will get everything from 15 MPG to the hyper milers claiming 30+. You are fine just drive it and don’t think about it Or you will become obsessed.
So then it isn't scratched if you haven't touched it. Take a new, clean micro fiber cloth, Get it damp with simply water and wipe off the dust. Dry with another clean micro fiber. No screen protector needed. All it will get is a little dusty.
How would your gauge cluster be scratched. It is hooded and tucked in. All it can get it a little dusty. Use a micro fiber towel to clean it with a damp cloth. Are you cleaning your interior with sand paper?
@Dman1351 what you are describing is what happens when using the steering wheel buttons on just about any and all cars/trucks. Nothing different with Toyota. Try out Carplay or Android auto for one month. Force yourself to try it. You will never go back. I am an old guy who doesn't like...
I am just over the "subscription for everything" and "tip for everything" society we now live in.
Sure it is only $15/month. Add that to SXM, Netflix, YT TV, Hulu, Disney etc etc etc and every other subscription and it just becomes BS. People are then forced to pick and choose.
Many just...
Opened a long time ago. They do nothing and will just close your case. Same with the issue with Carplay and readding texts back. Both could be considered safety issues but they do not care. Both cases closed with some copy/paste stupid reply.
Perfectly normal. Go check out the MPG thread. Plenty are getting that or worse. There of course are a few hyper miler people that drive 45 on a two lane back road down wind that will be getting like 30 but most will be in the high teens. 17.7 avg for 22,000 miles.
