Im assuming you wanted the dimensions with the rack open and bike installed, considering your concern about garage height.
I have a medium frame 29’er and with the bike in the rack, the handlebars are about 100 inches ( 8’ 4”) from ground. Keep in mind i also have a Trailhunter which has ~1...
Just curious if anyone’s noticed what appears to be clear coat peeling from their factory-installed Rigid fog lights? I was drying my front bumper after a wash yesterday and noticed what I thought was leftover bug guts - but appeared to be peeling. When I rubbed a little harder, more continued...
sweet, appreciate the feedback. I was more concerned about the ride quality going that stiff in the rear, if the shocks weren’t valved to be in spec with harder springs. But it almost sounds like Toyota/OME went too soft of a spring on the Trailhunters, because another user also reported similar...
You went really stiff in the back - why? They offer the 817 for 'stock' weight range, 819 for 175-330lbs, and 821 for 440+. Do you plan to add a lot to your bed setup?
I'm asking, because I was going to go with the 819's in the rear for a full bed rack, rtt, awning, etc setup. But now you...
Just came across this yesterday - looks like it's been getting advertised and talked about since late 2024, but appears to be a pretty rad option and ties together nicely with the IBEX bed rack system. I was initially thinking of going with the ARB full bed rack, but I think my opinion has...
Any chance we could get a few more daytime photos of your truck/setup? Im super glad I came across this thread - as I'm now considering just going with a spring upgrade on the stock OME struts, to gain a little lift/accommodate extra weight while keeping a comfy ride. But definitely curious...
as far as I know, they simply replaced the hardware - and the noise hasn’t come back since.
off topic: why are you changing your oil on your own? It’s covered for the first several changes by ToyotaCare so why not let them do it?
Still enjoying the purchase? I’m considering this versus the Kuat. I really wish Toyota/ARB made an easy upgrade kit for those of us who already have the TH and just want to ‘complete’ it. Instead you have to buy the full kit and feels like a waste of parts. Rear view still working flawlessly...
The front recovery hooks coming on the ‘25’s are not the same that ARB will be offering aftermarket. The ARB ones will box in the front of the frame (additional bolt-in points). I’ve confirmed this with ARB, and they’re supposed to be available mid-year. They will fit all trim OEM bumpers...
John, appreciate the update! What’s nice is that now with the 4-pin pigtail in the back, you could run any of the 3 different amperage AUX buttons. The ‘24’s were forced to use AUX1 which is rated for 15amps and highly overkill for the those two little lights.
It's been out long enough now. I know many owners have ditched them completely. But for those of you that've kept it on - I'm curious if anyone's actually used it to mount anything yet?
I've been very tempted to try mounting a few different items, and would like to get practical use out of...
Thanks, yeah I saw their recent newsletter and emailed them about availability. I actually started another thread on it that mentions their upcoming offerings for the 4th G.
Not a ton of actual truck photos from this past weekend's adventure - but just had to share these awesome views from White Pocket in northern Arizona (basically at the Utah border). Fantastic trip with a group of local folks, and yet again the TH did not disappoint!
Just received a response to a marketing email where they featured 4th Gen Tacoma parts. Not only will their bumper come with front recovery points, but they’ll offer the recovery points by themselves which will work with OEM front bumper. Very exciting.
Edit: I guess I could’ve been more...
